A ripple of laughter and belly clutched reeled me over to one table, players giggling profusely as if at a Cannon and Ball gig. "What's the joke?" I asked Matt Russell, desperate not be excluded from all the fun and potential witty banter. And I was right not to wish exclusion, as the wittiness of the banter was at nosebleed levels. "This guy over here [Paul Kemp] was receiving a massage and this guy [Philip Ashton] was asking if he had a 'touch on'." "He doesn't have a touch on often," added Ashton. Although I joined in with the laughter like I was one of the gang, I couldn't help but ask Matt privately, "What's a touch on?" Surprised by my naivety, and perhaps inexperience in this particular area, he quickly informed me that this was a term used for sexual arousal of the male organ.

I wish I hadn't asked, it was funnier when I didn't know.

That's Rutter, singular. He seems to be quietly moving along, I'm sure if he's not in a hand and has a moment, he'll be able to give a better (and quicker) report on himself than we can. Wink

Will check on Dewi

Cooeee, I was just about to put in a request from Stuart Rutter about how Tom Rutter is doing, but it looks like you're doing that already.

Please enjoy my Photo Of The Day:

We have movement, not in LeKnave's hair which is as rigid as an icicle, but in his stack which has been sent over to the far table to join the likes of Dewi James (38,000) and Jim Buckley (40,000). LeKnave is trailing both of these, but has his head above his starting stack with 24,000.

Interesting hand between John Eames and Raj Dhiri. Interesting because any hand John Eames plays invariably has him flopping a set, quads or something else equally ludicrous.

Anyway, on the turn of a board, Eames bets 4,550 and Dhiri does the whole, "I've got a big decision so I better stand up" type thing. Eames just sits looking bored. There's the usual, "Will you show when I pass?" type stuff etc...then Dhiri flips his cards over to show pocket Queens, despite not having folded yet.

There's a ruling and Dhiri's hand is still live but afterwards he's going to suffer a one round penalty. He folds anyway and goes off for a smoke.

Afterwards, I think Eames tells his tablemates he did have Dhiri beat (he would say that though!) though in the photo it looks like Eames is saying, "So I told Jeeves, 'Get my rifle at once, squire!' Oh, don't you know?"

Peter Charalambalous has eliminated James Bond with A-K vs A-7.

He didn't say, "Goodbye Mr Bond," though. Sad

Opportunity lost once more...
