LOL @ "It's a thirty quid comp son, and your mate played like a Nob!"

Any jobs going at Sky Tikay? This is the future of poker analysis imo.

[X] Luther's tournament reports a welcome addition imo

it is 1120am on weds and here is a report of tonights tourney (9 hours before it starts)

the silician/sir donksalot will be chip leaderf at the break and then go out within 5 hands complaining that the tourney is a "crapshoot" or "donkament" and will no doubt run into evil or mdd along the way

chompy will last seven levels and then go all in with 5 6 os and get called by A A  and say its a terrible tourney

drain alien ( i dont know you mr alien) will report on any fights / drunken affair in the g and have a bad beat.

MDD will win the tourney.

enjoy

Good report RuH. Wp.
All seems accurate and correct appart from the fact that I never complain about bad beats (....except on Wednesday's when I get rudely awakened by the dustman...)

Wow, it all went off big styley last night but no league scorers again unf.

Sir Donkeys made a good start, going from 10,000 up to 60,000 at the first break but it all started to go wrong when he fired a third bullet into Avi and Seb with six high on a 9 10 J Q A four-heart board.
His game was over after he re-raised Rochelle Alterman with A2 and she called with AA.

Yours truly managed to steal up from 10,000 to 11,000 after six levels but it all went wrong when Paul Noonan called an all-in pre with K5 v my QQ. FFS.

Rich Orford was down to 150 chips by the end of level one but then won 24 all-ins on the bounce during the 30,000-60,000 level to start the final table as chip leader.

A fight broke out soon after. Kalam ran away.

Eventually, MDD and Luther went heads up. It all went in pre, MDD with AK, Luther with AQ on a board that came QKQKQ. MDD called Luther a dunk and wandered off into the sunset.

Aha    ....       when does this League 'thingy' end, Vinny?

I reckon if The Rockstar, and myself, were allowed to enter as 'fashionably late' alternates - we could have it sewn up by the end of September.

No, no, no, Celtic is what's known as a league minion. He's as high up the league authority ladder as that annoying bint with the teeth and white hair is up the NatWest management structure.
All league issues/queries should be put in writing and headed FAO Chompy or the league elders. I can forward any queries on to the brethren by fax.

I have been looking back thru this thread and I am concerned about Luther.

Previous indications were that until very recently the biggest tourney he played in was the £5 rebuy on sundays.

After putting on his brave-boots he "moved up" to last night's £30 comp (and seemingly did ok despite the missed flush and the nearby "Nob")

However, my real concern is this quote from one of Luther's posts today...
"So it's time to get down, and get dirty ,in the £50 turbocharged VALUEesque comp tonight!"

Luther - I would like to offer my personal advice to NOT move up the ladder too quickly.

Before you know it you will find yourself in Friday's £75 comp, and end up in a SB vs BB altercation with one of the regulars.

Just offering a bit of advice, cos I don't want u to get involved in these bigger tourneys until u r really ready. Maybe stick to the £5 comp for a while longer, until you have had your first final maybe?

Whatever you do, I wish u good luck.

Ps - and if u see that RockStar in the £5 comp on sunday say hi from me.

Luton G last night.....proof indeed that live poker is rigged.  ;-(

Luther - Did u go? How did u get on?

Richie - It is shame that u weren't there as your buddy SirSwearsAlot woz there, and he finalled despite drinking copious quantities of the G's finest lager throughout.

And finally I can confirm that there weren't any Rock stars on the final.

And another finally....Mrs Alien has retired.......again.

Indeed I did - my arrival was 45 minutes late, due to a Blue Sq 'leaves on the line' delay of coming 3rd in a PLO tourny - steady progress was made when a bozo - sporting on ipod, with wrist movemements for putting chips in that would have had David Gower beaming - doubled me up when he ran his overly bet pair of into my KK (his friend sitting next to me, informed me that he was such an "incredibly good player at putting the pressure on", but looked bemused when I said, "it's a thirty quid comp son, and your mate played like a Nob!").

I was finally undone when the deck chose not to give me a diamond to complete a flush, the turn and the river would have have just about given Chumpy a nut low pair     .....       this wouldn't have happened online - live poker's fixed!

So it's time to get down, and get dirty ,in the £50 turbocharged VALUEesque comp tonight!

OMG - this Thread just keeps on improving.

"Kalem ran away" goes into the hat for BOLOTY. (best one-liner of the Year).

Question for Chompy - who exactly are the much-mentioned, & nucher revered, "League Elders"?
