Through the Looking Glass - Life is but a dream.

Man I wish that was true...and I thought dreams were meant to be good too.  Was feeling a bit sluggish with the last couple of days and blamed the meds.  Tried sleeping without last night as I don't like relying on them to be honest.  Managed a whopping 3 hours.  Marv.  A nasty 'dream' woke me at omg a.m. and the mind just couldn't settle afterwards.  Been up ever since.  Sooner or later, some thing's got to give.

After 24 hours of no sleep and no sign of it coming, I finally caved and took the meds around 3am this morning.  Slept sound until 2:30 this afternoon.  wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii  In fact, I only woke because the girls landed home from school.  They've ordered me to stay put, brought out the lappy to keep me entertained and have been busy 'round the house getting things in order.  They've asked for dinner from the new Indian place in the village.  I don't even have to cook?!  Think I can manage that.  Reckon I'll keep 'em another while.

Big week ahead on a few fronts.  I'm to get all sorts of news by Wednesday - medical and otherwise.  Still not heard from the surgeon and they've til Wednesday to get back to me.  If not, the GP will step in to get the ball rolling.  The 'otherwise' stuff stays quiet for another bit.  Fingers crossed for the lot though.

Free tip for today - Check yer fuse box

If something goes boom and suddenly you spend the next three days thinking everything else in that section of the house is broke too...you may be right.  It all may very well have gone bust at the same time.  But there's also a very good chance all that stuff is working, only there's no electric running to it.  Check yer fuse box.  You'll be amazed at how many things suddenly work again.  Only took me two days to figure it out.  You're welcome.

Laundry day Sunday.  Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii  Ever week-end I start the Friday with good intentions of spreading laundry duties out over the 3 days.  Come Sunday, I've done sweet feck all and have no choice but to get the lot done...before Brian's uni bus arrives at 6pm.

Don't mind the mad dash so much though.  By 6:30 there won't be a single item of dirty laundry in the house.  Ironing will be done, the lot put away and I can chill knowing a good day's work was done.

There's also the added bonus in that everyone was home and saw me doing stuff.  Gives the impression I must do stuff all the rest of the week when they're not around.
