Trickett has an unbelievable game IMO. the stuff I have seen of him recently is just wow. Obviously he didn't bring his A game in the £50 reebs at DTD last night...

Ouch. UL on the Bubble. Has to be the worst feeling in poker. Would rather get Aces cracked first hand of the day.

Alex, a reality check for you young man.
1. You played your pocket tens badly on the flop (Q52hh), when you made a pot size bet of approx £52 and Carla instantly re popped you to £152, your pocket tens should have shrunk pretty quickly! She could have easily had a Queen or at the very best for your TT she was pushing a flush draw if this was the case as it was should would probably have a least one over card to hit as well. When she made the re raise she did not leave enough behind her to fold. In fact her re raise made me lay down the best hand on the flop I had QJ. Why you re shove their and think you are in great shape is beyond me, you were gambling, you lost and you lost like a spoiled child.
2. My hand with you, I raised to £10, with QT suited, you re popped to £27 with J9 off, now I know you think you are Mitch JR and we should all fold to you when you make a re raise pre flop but that is never going to happen when all I have to put in is another £17 and I like to see flops. When the flop comes JT7 and I’m open ended I’m going nowhere, plus there are 2 hearts on the flop and I can play a flush if a heart hits. So I check the flop you bet £45, I call, why? Because I know that even though I’m a 3-1 dog if I hit I’m probably going to get paid. Turn comes a king, bingo for me! I check, I think you check to. Then the river comes 8hearts putting a flushing out there. Now I’m thinking maybe my hand is no good, I’m behind to AQ or a flush. Then you bet £90, I don’t like the call but think well if I let you get their then so be it. So I call, you say straight and I think shit, must have ace Queen, so I say Straight and you turn over J9, I instantly go to turn over both cards but one slips and only the 9 shows, then I flip the queen and you say something like “F***ing slow roll” and storm off, again like a spoilt child.
I didn’t slow roll you, don’t appreciate the rudeness and furthermore don’t appreciate the miss leading post on here. You need to start putting players on hands and start to consider if you are behind or not, from what I saw tonight you only saw your hand and didn’t read any of the signs that you were prob behind.
And finally you need to lose with a bit more grace, you were condescending to Carla and a rude little shit to me. So once you have considered this post, mine is a bottle of Corona pls from the back of the fridge with no lime. I’m not sure what Carla drinks! Good luck in the £100 freeze out today I’ll see you at some point no doubt.
This is the most hypocritical post you could have made it's embarrassing.
Firstly you start off with a ridiculous patronizing statement that's way out of line in alex's diary,
then you criticize his play and and justify the criticism with with the worst piece of hand analysis I've read in a while.
then the 2nd worst piece of hand analysis I read in a while in "mitch jnr" post (altho mitch jnr did make me lol quite a lot)
However, the actual point to your post behind all the bitching is spot on. it's very unprofessional to be sich a bad looser, and it's not a good rep to have because people dont enjoy playing you and that obv bad for business, its terrible for your tilt to get wound up after taking beats. The main reason I hate it is because its just rude (nothing to do with poker) and i dont like people being rude.
A good point shaun, but conveyed very poorly imo

I'll comment firstly on the hand, although the one thing you are right about Shaun, is the much more important issue of how I conduct myself at the table - I'll get on to that later.
When Carla cold called my 3bet, she did so pretty quickly and without much thought, I used to deal a lot to her and remember her game pretty well. She would 100% 4bet with aces or kings here. When I bet on the Q high flop, she never checkraises with even AQ, she would just call. Even though I don't think there are many (any, perhaps) Qxs in her range preflop. She also doesn't peel pre with 55 or 22 so not worried about a set. This means she has a flush draw and for me to do anything but shove when I know she has a flush draw is a huge mistake.
I had the T of hearts, meaning she has 11outs, or 14 with AKhearts. I'm 55.5% or 47% favourite vs these two hands so with the 81 in there pre, plus the 44 I'd already bet, shoving is by far the best play. It just so happens there was some story between the two of you about K4 and that's why she chose to play it.
Immediately after the hand, in fact whilst I'm counting out £260 of my money to ship her way, Shaun says "I told you K4 was a good hand Carla, I think I should get a percentage!" and she chucks him £2 across the table right under my nose and you both had a laugh about it. I didn't think that was particularly sensitive.
I almost started to say to Carla something along the lines of "what were you doing in the hand with K4?", but I stopped myself and realised it would achieve nothing and come across as sour grapes. So I kept schtum although visibly frustrated I agree.

As I said, more importantly, my conduct at the table is something I have to work on. I 100% agree with pretty much what everyone has written and said to me about this fwiw. Although I think to those that don't know me, it's coming across a lot worse than it is. I can think of one other occasion at DTD where I have reacted badly to a hand or a series of hands, so that is 2 sessions in about 60odd. On both occasions I have acted like a spoilt child. RECOGNISED!
Also a few times at Gala in the last 5 or 6 months the same thing. So it is quite rare, and I think those that play often with me, or that have never seen that side of me, wouldn't have many bad words to say about my conduct.
I can be a bad loser, and it's an awful quality. I've been one all my life to be honest, I grew up with a younger brother who was a sporting genius, always better than me in sports so I was constantly trying to prove myself. It was also hard that he never wanted to be good at the things I was good at, mainly Music.
I'm uberly competitive in games. The one "sport" I've always been really good at is table tennis, and always used to give my brother a good game. On holiday a couple of years ago, (Hannah always reminds me of this when this sort of thing comes up) I got battered by him and I turned really sour. Similarly, the PC game "Worms" has been a massive hit with my brothers and Dad for the past 15 years, and we've played 1000s of games together, again me and Mark being fairly well matched at the top. This Christmas, Hannah was staying with us, and we all played Worms together in what should've been a really nice fun game. I got battered and again, reacted badly. I just hate getting anialated in games I used to be, or am good at.
Now although a rarity, I understand how these moments stick out in the memory, especially for people that either don't know me, or don't know me very well. I have been trying really hard the last couple of months to not tilt at the table, and to always say "nice hand" and smile when I lose. And after a month of coolers and bad beats, I think I've done alright generally in keeping cool, but yeh last night I reacted badly. The way you turned over the 9 and then the Q was just so nasty I couldn't smile sweetly and say good game.
I don't really know how to improve this massive flaw. I'd love to have a reputation like Julian for example as someone who is always friendly and conducts themselves with 100% integrity and professionalism. I will endeavour to improve further.

1. Nick Hicks isolated a limper to £7, you called. I 3bet J9 to £30. This is what happened. Oh, and you had Q9, not QT.
2. I did this, not expecting you to fold. On the contary, I expected Nick to fold, and you to call. This way I am heads up with you, in position, with the initiative and a playable hand = NUT situation imo.
3. The rest of the analysis is so comical that it nicely proves why I think 3betting to isolating you is a good play.
