pre vegas i went through this ridiculously awesme period of getting up at 11am every day, having some sort of toasted item for breakfast, then walking to the market and buying some fresh meat, and then preparing a sick dinner before settling down to play online, was so healthy and felt fucking awesome, hopefully Jamie will come ITT and back me up on how awesome it was. Reggae Reggae Lamb chops with chilli marinated sweet potato cubes was sick, basically what i did was buy some fresh lamb chops from the market (this lil row of butchers shops) then i marinated it in ceyyenne pepper/salt and reggae reggae sauce, cut some sweet potato's into cubes and coated them with chilli oil, left it all to marinate whilst i played online for a few hours....
....then cooked up em all up with a little bit of rice and it was awesome. Felt great
Then I went to vegas and completely destroyed my body/willpower/mind/poker ability/braincells/liver/kidneys/bankroll/and somehow managed to lose about 60% of the clothes I took out there.........

Is Toby a sponsored pro now?
Winning both tourneys is a 108,000 to 1 shot. And that's assuming a neutral skill edge. God knows what my actual chances are!
Toby sponsored by Sky Poker? No, his outing for Sky Poker @ Luton was a one off, though we may do some more stuff together......but he's playing on Sky Poker today on his own money. You'd be surprised who turns up over there......
The odds on winning BOTH the "Jackpot" Tourneys may well be 108,000-1, but I had to work out the likely odds of the Jackpot being won, so that we could assess the liability to us, & I reckoned it was
circa
300/1 IF we assume no edge, &, obv, a little less if we assume that the player who wins the first "leg" has a skill advantage. The logic - from the perspecive of the business - is that we KNOW that someone will win the first of the 2 two tourneys, so to assess the liability, we only need the odds of the same player winning the 2nd Tourney. If that makes sense.....
So 1 in 300 you'll pay out the 6k so it's costing you £20 in EV. If it encourages just one person to play the £20er or 7 to play the £3er its +EV from your perspective, so obviously a good idea, wp. Could easily make it a 20k jackpot and it be +EV imo.
From my POV its -ev to play the £3er though imo
Lol, they take 100% rake at SkyPoker these days?

Pretty terrible end to the month. Well I won £45 on SKY POKER before DTD so that's something. But another chunk in the 1/2 game. Getting a bit down over it, just seem to be getting everything wrong and getting owned a few times. The games are really bad as well. And DTD seem to be doing their best to piss the regs off by closing 1hr 45 mins early. It's getting a frequent thing, down to 2 or 3 tables at 2am/3am - last three hands. Marvelous.
They don't cover their costs with 2 tables apparently. But it's really putting me off, and we're starting to plan more trips to London or Leeds for some better games because frankly, I don't think I can make a living from playing 5 hours a night of live poker in games like they are atm. It was 5 handed all night, and there's always more regs than fish in the games these days. The games'll improve over the weekend cos it's deepstack but generally the outlook is not good. We need some fresh blood or else I'm gonna think about a change of course.
Been running awful in the 10 sessions I played this month. Losing in 8 of them. I feel like I'm playing shit as well though. I feel like my game is quite exploitable. I'm so used to playing and crushing fish with super exploitable tactics that maybe I'm getting crushed by decent regs now because I'm not adjusting well enough. That's one way of looking at it.
On the other hand, a lot of the hands I'm losing (aside from the standard bad beats/coolers) are hands where I'm paying people off, or bluffing chunks off. I seem to be running into the top of peoples ranges a lot, making calls that I think are decent, but they always have it, or bluffing when people shouldn't really have a hand to call/ very few combos they can have that can call - and they always have it. That's just variance. So could just be down to variance. The biggest asset to my game is perhaps making decent calls or moves, both of which are high variance, so maybe I'm just on the downside of that.
See, I justified it.
Maybe it's time I mixed things up a little. Limp utg with 23o because no-one will put me on it. Something like that.
Anyway, if the 1/2 continues like this, thinking about returning to the 50/1 because at DTD it's really good now. Deep, loose, fishy. And reg free. Also thinking about playing more online. Really enjoyed my little stint on cash earlier. Will be good for my game also.

HH from tonight. Guess that hands. Post ITT 1) who wins and 2) a guess as to what both have. Closest gets a prize.
Tom Walster is in the straddle (4). Folds rounds to Terry in the small blind who raises to £15. Mitch calls from the BB. Tom makes it £55. Both call.
check, check, Tom bets 100, fold, Mitch calls.
check, Tom bets 250, Mitch calls.
check, Tom fairly quickly moves all in, covering Mitch, who has 950 behind. Mitch thinks for ages and calls.

The incredulous tone of your post suggests Mitch did a get there, so I'm going to plump for him winning the hand.
The fact you have seen fit to comment on Mitch getting there, which by all accounts seems a relatively common occurrence suggests it was fairly grubby, so I'm going to go with Mitch peeling flop and turn with a seven and a ten.
Pocket
for Tom and
10c for Mitch please.

I'm going to go against the grain, and suggest that Tom wins the hand. Assigning Tom the top of his range =
, and giving Mitch a solid bluff catcher =
. If the prize is dinner with the current Monte Carlo champion then I'm out. I already won that by crrrrushing at hu Monopory.
