How would you handle it if it was 2??
When my father sadly passed a couple of years ago I am sure he would have expected me to have blown my inheritance by now, and despite the housing market being tez I would like to think he looks down happy that none of it was used for degen stuff and that the nett wealth has increased which also is a good motivator not to degen it away.
Hopefully yours will be 1!

Hope it's not number 2 mate. I've had that sort of pressure put on me before and it's not pleasant at all.
Fingers crossed that it turns out to be number 1.
It might just be that you're not allowed to use it to fund poker which again would be fair enough.

I guess the decision is gonna be swayed by the amount of money it is.
Honestly it'd have to be a colossal amount for me to consider giving up poker.
That's another sweat, it could be 4, 5 or 6 figures, literally no idea!

wow big difference between 4 and 6 figures. i have had a similar experience to this and it was less than 5 figures so my decision was fairly easy and people benefited who needed the money more than me.

Question.
Say you had poor/no parents/family do you think you would have dropped out of uni and hit the pokes as hard as you did/are doing or do you think knowing in the back of your mind there was a safety net in place allowed you to take more of a risk? Always have massive respect for the peeps who have a proper go at it even more so when they have mortgage/kids etc.
and if its #2 obv your new job is customer relations manager for DTD.
