Just went to wish Alex good luck, & give him some of my legendary run-good vibes, & he was not at his table, seat 6 was empty.

This was just 5 minutes after play commenced.

Aside from the "Main" feature table, the doughnut/thunderdome thing, ESPN have created 4 "mini" Feature Tables for their TV coverage, & Alex is on one of those.

So he'll have to manage without my tutelage.

No different to other years, David, plus I get a little leeway from the suits. 

But now ESPN have started filming, it gets difficult. Have to say, the ESPN crew (mostly freelancers by the look of them) are the most rude, obnoxious & odious individuals you can imagine, & they treat everyone else like poo.

I saw Kara Scott inside the "ESPN ONLY" area last night, & she beckoned me in for a chat, but two burly ESPN sorts got really arsey with me.

Once it reaches day 5 or 6, the "regular" Media Passes have no further use, all Media except the WSOP Updaters get banished to the rail. Won't trouble me though, I'm flying home tomorrow, my work is done as of last night.

Just managed to get close to Alex's table - he has 240,000.

Last update from me for a few hours, have an appointment over at The Wynn Country Club, but I expect to see Akex north of half a milly by the time I return.

Toby is going along wonderfully too. He must be a right pain to play against when he has chips and senses weakness.

Just managed to chat with Alex.

He got a full 2XUp earlier against Brian Hastings who is to his immediate right and he has just gone on from there.

270,000 now, and Alex seems very very comfortable with his seat.
