Put a few hours in saturday night of the deepstack with me. Saw just how well I played

Mr Zero5 played much better.

I don't think that's entirely true, I just flopped more straights than you did! Although your KT overbet river line was definitely one for the recycle bin.

What you up to?
Well, despite wildly exceeding my annual target of £20k, poker was leaving me vaguely unsettled. I didn't feel like I'd accomplished much in the way of anything else, on top of which I was starting to loathe all the fruitless deep runs online and getting coolered in some otherwise perfect cash game line-ups.
I tried a staking deal which lasted about 30 minutes. It was terrible for morale, as losing felt equally as painful with and without a net but I felt only a fraction of the satisfaction with a winning session. Tried to break just about even with my backer and then called it a day. My non-poker goals in December fell annoyingly short as well; I'd taken it upon myself to really change my dietary habits and my sleep pattern, I was going to really increase the intensity of my workout routines, and I took it upon myself to get a charity event in before the year was through. Results, in a nutshell: got the flu and spent a week in bed, my old anxiety problems came back to haunt me for a week, and I only raised £800 for Cancer Research (a full 20% short!)
I brought in the new year in some great company with some friends I've made through poker this year, the poshboy himself even came along to duet with fellow forum member "mathburn" in a rendition of "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. You can't buy memories like that. I'd like to say I took my girlfriend to Venice, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't really the other way round. She's the breadwinner these days, and she has a lot of travelling experience under her belt so I flicked it in and she took me away for four nights in the quiet retreat of Venezia along with my friend Andy and his lady. It was quite an experience! If you've not been, I would strongly recommend it. It was so nice to just unplug for a few days, enjoy the scenery; there was no litter, not cars, no supermarkets, no billboards and advertisements, no TV (that we could understand at least.) Of course, it's always nice to get back to normality, so I've resumed where I left off in December before I got sick. That means my muscles are sore; my fridge is stocked full of eggs, chicken and cottage cheese; and I'm putting some serious poker volume in.
I bought myself a nice new laptop for my birthday, so I can grind both .com and .fr on a system with a working screen

On my return to live poker, I've managed to finally scrape together a couple of winning sessions! At the minute it's hard to get a decent game because of the weather, but as soon as the water is warm again I'll be packing in the hours.
2013. No more excuses. Good to be back Blonde.
