Really think folding sixes full was wrong. If the guy has A7/67/77 just put it down to a cooler and move on.
Chin up.
Feels like I'm always "putting it down to a cooler." It's such an easy way to justify mashing it all in all of the time. I'm sure I must have made some bad folds before, but usually I'm pretty good at these situations. Folded KK pre and was right (didn't get shown the T4), checkfolded river with 65 on T 5 5 A 8, just to name a few. The 76 hand a couple of nights ago felt like a snap fold, but then I basically ended up calling it off with the "feels like I'm getting coolered" speech. Dammit man if it feels like you're getting coolered, it's a great opportunity to make a world-class fold. Not that I want to get into the habit of hero folding, but Keys already gave me the talk about listening to my instincts at the table and questioning them later. What I did was fail to follow my instincts, and was not at all surprised to be shown better.
It's hard to put my point across successfully when I'm losing money all over the shop. Surely if I was making the right decisions I'd be winning etc. Here's my justification for folding anyway:
Pre, he's very wide obviously. Donking A 7 6 rainbow he's got 77, A2s-A9s, A2o-AJo, 98, 85, 76, 54. Maybe he would donk gutshots here, but I'm not sure how often he peels those when I raise flop so I'm taking them out. Checkraising on A 7 6 A turn, I want to take away lots of Ax combos because I think he's checkcalling A2-A5 because of what my hand looks like. Maybe he's gone crackers and turned a straight draw into a bluff here, but he's only had two beers and he's not losing so I think his head is level enough to not commit suicide. So that leaves 77, A6o-AJo, A6s-A9s and I'm reducing the likelihood of him having non-house Ax combos again because of what my hand looks like, but sometimes he might turn these hands into bluffs so I'm leaving them in. I wouldn't usually offer such narrow range assessments, but he can't realistically think about moving me off a big ace or a house here, so more often than not he thinks I have a hand I'm not folding which is why he's jamming so big.
Someone please point out all the flaws in that assessment so I can hurry up and not be rubbish at cards.
Also, Tesco checkouts?! Please; ask the boys to describe my social skills, especially when it comes to giving my synopsis of a film I enjoyed recently... I'd be a Tesco shelf-stacker. Nick, you can hook me up right?

Disregard that post. After crunching the numbers it's a flip with a massive overlay. Just couldn't put it together quick enough. Oh well, it was a choice between losing the lot there or losing the lot to Alex. I'm sure Alex would agree I made the right decision.

I'm a massive believer in taking unorthordox lines because of reads, instincts, gut, gameflow whatever you want to call it. There's been loads of hands that I've played live where I've told housemates/friends and they've been like wtf are you doing, but I wouldn't have had half of the success I've had live if I listened to them and just played hands like I do online. In every tournament I've done well in I bet I could think of at least one crucial hand that I played totally unconventionally or "wrong" by the book but it's felt like not even close at the time. The most recent example being in the Sky poker thing where I 6bet bluffed allin in a spot that I would've bet my net worth that the guy was light and expected to get called almost 0% of the time. I could go on for pages about this point, but I'll only get called an idiot
These things look terrible on paper and you get flamed to high heaven when they go wrong, but I'll always remember what Lex Veldhuis said on high stakes "I'd rather look like an idiot and learn from it than not go with my gut" - so so true.
Having said all that, I don't think you can fold the 66! I was just saying all that above to prove that I'm a massive believer in taking non-standard lines because of reads/instincts/gameflow, but in this hand, I think it's really impossible to fold. I agree with what you said about Kurt being only 2 beers deep and not losing therefore much less likely to be ool, but there's just no way we can rule out some of the hands that we beat, and some of the semi bluffs he might have some % of the time.
Having said that it's pretty hard to say "terrible fold" when Kurt all but showed 77 after the hand and it seemed like you made a great laydown. Shame you couldn't fold your set to me though

I'm not saying "always" put it down to a cooler but I think set over set unless you have some sort of sick read or you're playing against someone who doesn't put a chip in a pot without the bare nuts is a cooler. The 65 hand on T55A8 I don't consider one for example. I'm not criticising the fold btw, just how I think about things (Which is probably why I have less money than you do!
)
I remember a hand you posted where you busted the UKIPT I think and had set over set? I just feel the same situation, no getting away from it and you just have to put it in. But I think YOU posted it because you thought you played the hand badly or that you could of gotten away, and everyone agreed that wasn't the case, I think the same situation applies in the 66 spot.
Thinking more, we have the worst possible full house possible, but I really couldn't fold in that spot. As I say, my opinion only, feel free to flame.

Sean, managed to smash the screen on my phone yesterday just so I can be like you. Looking into getting it fixed as it's still working perfectly but I don't want to slice my fingers apart from swiping the screen. You found anywhere that does replacements for yours?

It isn't an iphone, but it does have a glass screen that can break if you drop it onto a concrete floor. Sean doesn't have an iphone either.

man thought it says iPhone. My eyes are getting worse. Using iPhone on here all day and following live streams is really messing with em. Often I look up from this to the TV and it takes time for em to focus. Getting a lot of dull headaches too

I can take it back to my service provider because - to my surprise - "cracked screen" falls under the warranty of the S-3; apparently it's an organic fault of the phone anyway.
Wouldn't recommend getting it fixed at all tbh, I think you'd look strangely alluring with a callous on your right index finger.
