Hello, my name is Sean and last night I got owned so hard.

I don't remember the events leading up to the river so well, but it went roughly like this.

Raised to £3 pre, two callers, I call in the cutoff with , big blind calls.

Flop (£16)

OR bets £3, two calls, I call, big blind folds.

Turn (£28)

OR bets £3, all call.

River (£40)

OR checks, player 2 bets £20, one fold. We make it £58, OR folds and player 2 calls.

We annnounce, "I got it this time," and roll over the straight flush.

He picks up his chips to leave in disgust as he rolls over for the second nut house.

What just happened? How did I just leave £150 on the table?

So many questions.

where you also up against a guy called Sean who wants to flat full houses lol? :p

LOL with the straight flush whingeing.

What's the point in making a straight flush in the sickest cooler of all time if villain is just going to FLAT?! What was he thinking? Did I turn my cards over before he called? I'm starting to think he must have said "raise" but nobody heard him, then just took so long before he moved to put the rest of his chips in that the dealer declared it a call. That is the only logical reason, surely. Even if I started doing cartwheels when I put the raise in, he must still think he has the best hand. Absolutely untrue bad, or good, but still bad.

Your post reminded me of something I saw at Gala on Thursday which made me kinda cringe a little. Tongue AA and AK get it in for about £200 each and AK brutally flops trips. Some random at the table then goes "how do you even get aces?" Euuuch...

You in for some of this MPP nonsense later boshi?? Need you to bust out nice and early so I have a smart person to make puns with on cash later. Cheesy

Just spent 90 minutes doing back and shoulders and I am SORE. Massage flip? Loser gets first rubs, literally and figuratively.

Ended up having a decent session yesterday, despite another horrible start. It seems somewhat of a habit these days to dig myself a giant hole and spend the night climbing out of it. The night I made a straight flush I was losing £550 at a low point, and ended up winning £250 or so. Last night I was losing £200 on my first table playing 4-handed versus a bunch of button clickers, but then came a ray of hope as someone from the far more spirited game behind me came to sit to my left. I insta-moved and immediately regained some morale despite losing another big pot to one of the fish. It was just such a fun game: there was banter, there were friends, there was just the right balance between professionals and gamblers. It was exciting, and the kind of game in which I didn't mind so much losing.

I flopped a flush against one of the gamblers and got a full double up, then played hand against Alex where I peeled the button with and call/call/bet when checked to on . I think he declared a flush, which was quite an unfortunate value hand to make on that river. Then I got free eggs benedict in a food flip.

Eggs benedict.

EGGS BENEDICT

They're back on the menu. Very pricey for what they are, but that's not a problem if I'm going to keep winning those dinner flips!

Going to grind the sundays with the boys after some breakfast. The first sunday I've put in a session this year so it would be nice to at least not do my nuts.

Winning just enough to cover my monthly outgoings now. Morale 86%
