Project 25 update:
Buffered the page with a few of my personal favourites as an introduction, towards the end of November. First official piece was finished this morning at 6am. Took me an hour or so after circling round a few ideas which I'll probably come back to later in the month. Can confirm that today's piece is not a clever way of coming out of the closet. It's just an attempt at making my logotype flexible, and was inspired by a Marks & Spencer smoothie I had on the train back from London whilst trying my hardest not to tell the world's most annoying couple sat opposite me to go and defend their title somewhere else.
Brief summary of last night:
Bet-folded the river twice versus this old dude who seemed to have an unlimited supply of biscuits stashed in his mouth, so he was prepared and ready to be repulsive at a moment's notice. Every time he spoke to me, the whole world turned bullet-time as I parried to avoid the hail of crumbs. The worst part was that he kept making houses, showing them when I folded, and giving a description of his hand ranking. Fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffull house. Yeah, mouths full of biscuits. Now I'm coated in partially digested digestives. Thanks.
I flopped top set and got it in versus the nut flush draw and held (no, seriously) to take me up to £300 or so. Then immediately gave some lucky reg two streets with JJ on 8 3 2 9, then folded the 6 river and he showed me QQ. I
am such a hero should have folded the turn anyway I reckon.
I moved tables and doubled through Shola for a pretty big pot. I flopped bottom set on K Q 6 and bet-bet-bet. River paired the king, so I guess that helped me get the lot. Straight after, I went on a massive rush of cards and didn't win a bean. Saved money with QQ when I 4bet pre and my opponent decided to stop-and-go an A K 9 board. I folded and he showed me AK. Probs could have won a bunch more there kid.

Also, on this table, I was sat next to Andy Murphy (for those of you who don't know him, he's a super friendly 50/1 reg, final tables just about every nightly comp by being an absolute rock) and he goes "I've been playing for 3 hours tonight and this is the first set I've flopped." I chuckled, but it turns out he was being dead serious. He continued, "yeah, you're supposed to make five or six sets a night." Must be nice. Other than Mitch, who the hell flops this many sets?!
Finished winning £200~, which is pretty disappointing given that I won two big all-in pots and was picking up some massive hands, just in frustrating spots. Made a hero call right at the end, which I'll post in the PHA later and see what everyone thinks. At the time I felt like an absolute captain, but thinking back I'm not sure how much I like it. Oh well, a win is a win and all that. Off to play a Monopoly home game and then see what surprises December has in store. Weeeeeee. Peace.
