£9 an hour @ 50/1 is fine. don't knock that. If you can manage 120 hours/month that's 13k/year plus the £560 rakeback per month dtd give for 100-150 hours that's 19.6k a year. Tax free that's plenty.

at 50/1 i'd be suprised if anyone could show much better than £10/an hour profit.

My winrate is £9.10 over a 860 hour sample (about 25k hands) so get some perspective. 50/1 live cash is not a game where you can make £20/hour long term.

Your progress to the next level will probably come from binking a tournament somewhere. Grind out the 50/1 taking occasional shots at 100-300 tourneys, selling pieces if you want. Even if you're still doing it this time next year with the same roll - like Dave said, it's still a sucesss, because you haven't gone broke - you've supported yourself and are still putting yourself in positions to make that next step. Sooner or later you'll bink a comp whether it be next weekend or next christmas, or even taking the odd shot at 1/2, and then you can take the next step you so badly want to.

I was obv incredibly fortunate to get that bink so early in my "career", don't expect that. Just be patient, keep grinding, learning and FUCKING #LOVETHEGAME!!!!!!!

Did you play the deepstack Sean? Saw you walk past but never saw you seated?

You are aware that I have backed numerous folks in poker ( for good karma rather than Roi ) and never really back anyone public ally but want to be the first to make sure you play the Monte Carlo.

I pay 10% of  the monte for 6 months subscription to this fine thread. That will start you off and obv you can sell as much of the rest as you see fit.

( I know you are too shy to ask )

As a non-pro I have to say that Alex and Dave's posts are the best I have read on here blonde in a long long while!!

Plus if you look on the bright side the difference between the current Monte Carlo champion and yourself is only 10p per hour!!  Wink

modified as obv taken out of context!!

Not sure if I should see a shrink, or a quack, but I think I'm seriously falling in love with LilDave. A shame he's under age.

Always so positive, & unlike so many of the kids, he does not denegrate all & sundry, & he's very much an "up" & inspirational type.

When he's old enough I so wanna shag him.

Yes same here. Just going through replies to your posts takes me  3 hours and annoys my wife because I am always on my I phone.... Found the mark as read button last week but my mild OCD still won't allow me to use if very often
