IMO Paul Jackson writes the best poker articles because like yours they make me laugh. Hope something comes off for you.

Did a big lose today. Played awfully to begin with, then got unlucky in two pots that would have got me out of it. Oh well, we managed to get there in September. Let's get unstuck!

Sigh. It's different when I'm the idiot at the table! If I spend two paragraphs slating myself, as easy as it is given my endless list of flaws, I would just come off sounding incredibly neurotic. Neurotic is not funny. In fact neurotic is only acceptable when it comes as part of a package that includes an inexplicably vulnerable blonde with a medium-huge rack.
Having said that, though, we did have a great laugh to start the session. The beloved stato_1, who's been running pretty bad in a lot of online MTTs recently, got it all-in pre versus the spot at the table with KK. Villain turns over the
. The dealer deals out the flop. Then as he tables the turn card, villain leaps into an animated state and whips over his
. Pretty unlucky to get outdrawn on the turn by an unimproved hand. All credit to stato for rounding up the morons, though.
Also, there's this reasonably new face at Dusk. He seems like a reasonably capable player (which makes him twice the player I am at the moment), very friendly guy. I'm probably putting my foot in it and I'm going to find out he's a reg on my diary now... It seemed like every hand I played versus him for value, we ended up chopping. T9 ~ 98 on J 9 9 K 2, AJ ~ AJ on A J x x x. I'm not as good as Alex yet, so I didn't back into a flush.
Here's hoping I made your dreams come true Herbie,
Love Sean xxx

Edit: Confirmed isn't a reg on my diary. Last night after I made my opinion on Dusk's rump steak baguette very public, he suggested I should write a blog and review things.
btw: don't order the rump steak baguette from Dusk.

So I'm leaving the gym today after an almighty session - I feel pretty hench, and for the first time in a while I didn't make an "ick" sound when I looked in the mirror in the changing room - and as I reach the stairs, I see this guy in a filthy t-shirt sat at the top of the stairs. Part of me wanted to see if he was okay, but I extended my human compassion once before and started a brawl, so felt it best to just walk on by. As I was walking past, he suddenly sprang to his feet, and in the thickest Liverpool accent, he goes "aye moit, is dat a McDanald's over dere?" I paused for a second... I know I'm not the first person to have walked past him... Was he waiting for me in particular? Was he waiting for someone who looked like they were familiar with the whereabouts of the nearest McDonald's? I slumped my shoulders, my boost of self-esteem cut short, "yeah, it is." Then, as he started walking towards his fast food destination, and I started walking towards my car, we were locked in an awkward parallel walking pattern. To onlookers, we must have looked like the best of friends.
Maybe I'll bump it up to five sessions a week.

god those awkward parallel walking patterns are the worst, I had a similar spot the other day when three strangers joined me in the same spinning door cubicle.

Driving home today and some student-looking kid tried to jump in front of my car. I can't explain the conflict of emotions. I was so pissed that I would have happily got out of my car to go and smack him about a bit, but the reason I was pissed was that I almost inflicted pain or maybe even death upon a fellow human being. So I wanted to hurt him because I nearly hurt him? I don't get it...
Anyone else ever had a similar experience?

Yeah, I had a proper rant at someone for doing something similar a few years ago...stupid broad could have been killed and scared the shit out of me. Could easily have killed her with my bare hands.
