Doing boxing bag and pad work is a killer.  Used to do it with a partner, one holding the bag whilst the other throws combinations for 2 minutes, then swap.  Then do the same with the pads, then back on the bag.

After a few rounds of that it's hard enough to keep your hands up, never mind throw combinations.  Somehow professional boxers (not including Audrey Harrison) manage to do that for 12 rounds and have to contend with another bloke smacking them in the face at the same time!

Brings back memories of when I first started kick boxing. It was absolute agony after just a minute or so with your arms permanently raised out in front of you.

Drop your guard though and you get slapped with a pad!! Such good fun Cheesy

Very much that!  Also working with a partner (like having a personal trainer) means that you both push yourself a lot more so that you're not the first one to falter or quit.

had a very bad day today, last night went out for a few drinks and ended up smashing in 10 pints, i'm not a big drinker and i was totally fked.  Managed to get to work today but didnt have my usual porridge so was starving at lunch time, made it rain in greggs and now feel terrible for it.

Back on the horse but need to avoid big nights out during the week, i cant cope and just end up getting stupid the next day.

hope it doesnt cost me too much as i really want to put in a good week.  Need to be above the yellow line!

Those of you posting what you are eating on a daily basis (and those that aren't) where did you get your diets from?  Are they specially worked out or just something you are keeping an eye on?

I am taking my eating plan from a mixture of lots of different advice, not sure its the best way but key for me is not being hungry as shown by my blow out in greggs today!

Binned off white bred and trying to have a healthy breakfast, no snacks etc and a healthy evening meal is all i'm doing really.

Usually along the lines of porridge/cereal and fruit for breakfast, maybe something cooked at the weekend like scrambled eggs on toast. Lunch usually and sandwich and fruit. Then a normal tea of either a healthy ready meal or meat and 2 veg. Basically unless I fuck up I'm eating 1200-1500 calories most days, only exceeded 1500 twice so far.

The odd time that I have snacked I've had a bag of quavers and a couple of times I've had chicken mcnuggets on their own.

I'm just trying to eat healthily, not exceed 1500 calories and exercise when I can be arsed, usually 3-4 times per week.

Is being arsed legal, and does it count as exercise?

I've used a BMR calculator to work out what my maintenance calories are according to age/height/weight and activity level. It's obviously never going to be nailed on but uses one of the recommended formulas to do so and that's a base to work from.

I've then split those daily calories (macros) down into a rough target which for me is over 200g protein, around 100g carbs and the remainder of my cals as fats. My daily is 2500 so I try to stay between 1500-2000 every day during the week and allow myself to relax at the weekends.

By keeping things under a tighter leash if one week I stop losing weight I can readjust them by just shaving a couple hundred calories off here or there because I know exactly what I'm putting in each day anyway. It's a bit of a pain to start with but now I've got the macros of most things I eat stored on my PC it becomes easier to tally up each day.

I don't see, what does making it rain have to do with throwing your money about?

lol, a guy at work says it a lot which I kinda picked up on. I guess its because if you throw money in the air it could look like its raining money.

I didn't actually throw money but was simply implying that I spent a bit too much money on pasties.
