Soviet this might help spur you on further: been in and out of hospital last couple of weeks. Turns out I have a pretty serious health problem which is basically a result of excessive drinking in my youth and eating utter shit for many yrs. Only way of properly resolving it is losing weight and getting fit (probs 11st tbh). Lost 8lbs this week without any exercise but doc wants me to calm it down and try to hit 2-3lbs per week max, apparently rapid weight loss will only add stress to my already fucked liver. Not actually on a diet, just changing what I eat and drink for the rest of my life.

Will still be dressing up as santa on Dec 22nd for my 2nd challenge forfeit, obv unless by some miracle I shed 4st before then..

Keep it up fatties else it could be too late.

Sorry to hear that mate, I think the Doc is spot on. If you went hell for leather at the gym it wouldn't be long term beneficial. Much better IMO to make a couple of small lifetime habits like going for a walk every day (better yet get a dog). No point thinking of this as a short term prop bet anymore.

These.

It's really really easy to stick to when you have no choice! It's just doing it yourself before a doctor tells you that you have no choice.

This morning had muesli and a cup of green tea instead of a couple of bacon rolls, cup of tea with 4 sugars and umpteen hobknobs, also walked to the shop which I would normally drive to. Only small things but its stuff like this that once a routine will make a huge difference.

Very sombre for my usual tone, so back to being excited for Saturday's footy.

Back on the weightloss grind. Walked 8 miles yesterday with the dog, been out this morning for 40 mins walking & will be cycling to work all week. Back to sandwich & a cup-a-soup for lunch with healthy low carb evening meals.

Getting some new scales which I haven't had since June, think this makes a massive difference so looking forward to weekly weigh ins.
