Soviet.

I was on VLCD stuff this week but it's highly unsustainable for me, especially at night. My menus at night for the next couple of weeks have stuff like:

Prawn cocktail
Prawn stirfry no noodles
Chicken curry - cabbage and lettuce instead of rice
Chicken fajita in low carb wraps from Avidlite
Tuna and cous cous
Sardines on nimble bread
Various Home made soups
Salmon and salad
Chilli chicken with salad
Chicken cous cous
Various omelettes
Various stuff in low carb pitas
Metballs in tomato sauce with salad

On my phone and I think this post is all over the place. Will tidy it up later. But there are a few ideas which might help. Most are very low in carbs and pretty low on calories. Looking forward to weigh ins tomorrow.

Snacks are: most fruits (no grapes, oranges or bananas due to sugar content) almonds or macadamia nuts, my personal fav natural yoghurt with berries.

Oh btw, I'm off on my hols on 22nd March so I'm gonna do my final weigh in on the night of the 21st, same target obv. I assume that is not a problem for fine purposes as long as I have made the weight? Only booked it after this started obv.

I have to disagree with at least one point Mantis has made there.

I consider myself a gym reg. I see my gym sessions as rewarding and stimulating. I don't however view the sofa as laziness. The sofa is amazing!!

I'd probably disagree with some other bits as well but I couldn't be bothered to read the rest after work, picking the kids up from school, cooking dinner, getting the wife from the train station I just dont have the time.

Listen big man if you had 3 hrs free in a week to choose between gym or sofa you'd choose gym because choosing sofa would make you feel lazy and you would get fat. You can enjoy sofa cos you've already chosen to enjoy gym.

People who think they are too busy should know a) Fitness will make you more productive and energetic in everyday life so the little time you spend investing in fitness can be made back through greater efficiency in every other aspect of life, and b) Exercise boosts anti-oxidants which helps prevent sick days and serious diseases, and it reduces your resting heart rate which increases the hearts life expectancy. So actually overall you add time to your life by exercising you don't take time away.

Did a weights session yesterday and tri's were killing on the first two sets. Cut the session a little short, only did 12 sets instead of planned 16-20. Will be cardio only for a few days.
Got 3 nights next week then off for 6 days, so can put a lot of miles in

Received my meat delivery yesterday, though had to wait in most of day for it. Now have 2 dozen quality chicken breasts to add to salads over next two weeks.

This.

I was recently introduced to a time management/productivity course that really advocated this, whenever I go to the gym first thing in the morning, I have a significantly more productive day and more energy in the evening (where I would previously veg out from 7pm onwards).

Have had quite a difficult evening... Not for the reasons you might expect. Had fajita's for tea and whilst they were incred they did not agree with me. So I'm expecting tomorrows weigh in to be very inacurate. I will not be celebrating too much or berating myself too much next week if I have a bad week... Haven't felt quite as bad as I did earlier today so need to proceed with caution making spicy grub !!

6 1/4 lb loss this week
i want to be able to achieve my weight loss..... but not pile it back on  after

so should i lose less.... eat a bit more so i can find a balance to stick to?  or use will power after the 12/24 weeks.

in  a way i think i would of preferred to have lost the 2 lb   does this sound stupid?

That is standard for a first week. Because you have switched to healthier food it probably has a lower salt content so you will lose water from your body. I would say a couple of lbs is fluid loss, plus you are always lightest first thing in the morning. If you weight yourself at later today at a comparable time to last week I bet you will be 17st 2 or 3.
