how does everyone feel after first few days??
i think i have gone from 3500 (ish) calories per day to about 1500 is this too much or good going ?
hungry but other than that feel ok!!
Nah not really hungry tbh, I think my body is probably still fuelled from the excesses of xmas, no doubt the hunger will kick in soon though
Need to exercise tbh, but by bodyclock is still fucked from Vegas and I'm knackered

Probably way too much to be sustainable. If you have the momentum about you to keep going then do so, but don't be too hard on yourself if in a few weeks you struggle. IMO stick to 1500 as long as you can, and when it becomes too hard, instead of having a blowout, go to 2250 a day (or something smaller than 3500) and pat yourself on the back for it.

Went swimming, although took it pretty steady. Did 10 lengths warm up and then about 15 lengths of "sprint one jog one" or whatever the swimming equivalent is called. Won't be pushing myself for a while, just wanting to loosen up a bit and get things moving.
Done some stretching and an abs workout at home.

Exercise - Did 20 miles on my bike. Took ages because of the wind.
Note: Not my own wind.

Hi Lee,
Good luck with this.
Would you mind posting what a typical day of 3500 calorie intake would be for you?
And what it is you're eating now it's 1500?

Sorry shouldn't have asked ITT.
I wasn't asking to make you embarrassed etc - was just going to see if I could give you some tips because whilst cutting calories is good, I think a lot of people still eat a lot of the wrong things and in the wrong ways when they do.
Feel free to pm me or not at all if you're not comfortable with the question.

You definitely don't want to drop to just that, as Barry says, 2000 - 2500 is fine. I'm doing Insanity (a workout) for my preparation which declares you should look to have five meals of between 300-500 calories a day. Cut out bread, switch from pasta to brown rice or quinoa, lean meats only. Add a lot more fish to your diet as well and move across to skimmed milk.
For me, a day would look something like.
Breakfast: Porridge with banana sliced up in it
Post-Exercise: Protein shake - (whey powder/raw egg, splash of honey, pecan nuts + water)
Lunch: Smoked salmon salad
Afternoon snack: Low-fat yoghurt with granola
Dinner: Stir-fried chicken with vegetables and quinoa.
Obviously you can create your own much better recipes, or look around on the net.
Good luck
