19st 1 1/12lb this morning. So 3lb this week, 9lb since starting. Really pleased with that. Never set myself a definite target, but now hoping I can get to 18st by Vegas (28 March). 16lb in 8 weeks, so if I try and keep disciplined on the food, should be doable. I scarfed half a box of leftover xmas chocs last night as well, which isn't ideal, but I'm not beating myself to death about it.
Workouts make me feel so much better too. I can actually bend over to tie my shoelaces and breathe at the same time, which wasn't the case before xmas! Belt is very close to coming in a notch.

Starting weight
18st 6lbs
Last week
17st 6lbs
This week
17st 5lbs
Must admit I'm very disappointed with this weeks loss, I have eaten really well (excluding curry on Thursday) and done more exercise than in previous weeks. Not really sure what's gone wrong. I guess it's always going to be hard to follow an 8lb loss but I'm disappointed nonetheless.
I have been trying to lose weight myself since Jan 1st and I weighed in at 18st 6lbs the same as you and I currently weigh 17st 9lbs.
This week I lost 1lbs and like you, I was a little disappointed but as friends pointed out to me, a loss is a loss and it's not meant to be easy.
You are doing really well with the amount you have lost to date and I hope I can catch up with you asap

Cheers bud, it really helps to get a few positive words after a disappointing week. I need to remember its a marathon not a sprint.
My overall goal is to get down to 13st 7lbs so need to keep on top of it!

This is the key I think mate.
My overall goal is to be 14st 1lbs by the 23rd of June so I look forward to keeping an eye on your progress and comparing it to mine.

I'm sure you'll be there no worries lads and a stone in a month is great going. Steady consistent losses are king imo and the ones that work permanently more often than any other.

Diet 29/01/12
MP MRP
400g Chicken Breast
1 Pitta
15ml Worcester Sauce
100g Onion
200g Fillet Steak
150g Sweet Potato
5 Oat Biscuits
2 Cups Black Coffee with 0 cal sweetener
60g Thorntons Fudge
Protein: 207g
Carbs: 199g
Fats: 69g
Cals: 2291
Polished off the last of the Fudge mum bought me and the oat biscuits too. Still racked up my protein from the steak & chicken whilst coming in almost 500 cals under maintenance too so not all bad.
Got a busy day tomorrow chasing up some hospital stuff and I'm going to ring the consultant's secretary to ask if I can retry one of the drugs I was on as we never completed the course. One of them didn't think it would work anyway so didn't see the point, I'm not having that though and if there is a chance I might as well have a go at it in the next couple months while I'm waiting around doing nothing.
I've been trying a few stretches today for my hamstrings/calves and they do seem to loosen things albeit only for a very short time and once I've sat down for 10 minutes the benefits are gone. I'll keep doing them in the house anyway as it's beneficial even for that, not sure I can do it elsewhere as I might get some looks if I just drop down in the middle of the town/supermarket and start stretching out my hammys
Hope Caliifornication hurrys up so I can see what Boss Moody is doing before I hit the sack!!
GL for the week everyone!!!

Congrats Simon, ROFL @ almost 3 stone in a month!!
Ty, although it is obviously not the same 'success' as losing it steadily the conventional way.
A Qu. for you though if you don't mind... I notice on your food summaries, the closest you ever come to fruit and veg is a bit of onion in the mince and a fruit pastille! Would the diet not be easier (and more balanced) with a decent serving of veg and fruit for snacking on?

Yeah you're right it would def be more balanced but I'm not a big fan of veg other than in a roast and for a fatty I'm pretty fussy. I can abide broccoli florets, green beans in a stir fry but of late I've been convenience eating meat with sweet potato or pitta and not having stir fries.
I was actually talking about it with someone yesterday and they said the same thing re veg/fruit which is entirely correct. I'm going to have to start eating more roasts with a sweet potato mash or something instead of roast spuds and more stir fries.
As for fruit I do like it, just never remember to tell my parents to get any and there is never anything in our place beyond Bananas which I despise. I used to buy the prepared fresh fruit salads when I went shopping myself, something I should really try and get into a habit of eating again you're right.

I am cheating and about to start on the lighter life diet. 4 powdered sachets a day with the ability to constantly grind out 6 pounds a week weight loss when coupled with regular exercise. I have about 4 stone to lose and am impatient and love the fact i won't have to worry about food selection, where i always stumble.

That certainly doesn't sound particularly safe. You spoken to your doctor about this diet?

What's the plan in 9 or 10 weeks when you've lost 4st?
Are you going to hate the fact that to maintain what you've achieved you're going to have to start to worry about food selection, where you always stumble?
