Feeling confident ahead of the big weigh in on Sunday, currently 14st 3/4lb, and the rest of the week is set up in such a way that I don't have much excuse not to exercise/eat well.

Question - on the big day, if I end up weighing in fractions of pounds over, am I allowed to go for a run round the block and weigh in again, like boxers do?

I will be, no breakfast followed by 1 hour bike ride followed by weigh in  Lips Sealed

I'm still going strong. Cycling to work is paying dividends if it wasnt for larger I would be doing great as it stands I'm well clear of the 24lbs minimum but quite some way from my personal 60lbs target which I need to do before the end of the year.

My fitness is so much better now. Just finished playing 7 a side and managed to keep going for the full 90 mins. This is after I cycled home from work. I couldnt have dreamt of doing anything like that when I was 18st 8.

This thread has been a great help so hope we can continue something. I also need to get back involved in weekly weigh ins as I think they help me lots.

Weighed in today at 22st 3lbs which is a total loss of 8lbs since Monday. Sigh it's only losing the same weight as last week.

Did 5km on treadmill today. Got to 40minutes and was shattered but carried on to 50 minutes and called it a day. Burnt around 630 calories.

Girgy

You have posted this quite a few times itt. Are you learning why thou?

When you have a binge (not critical, just saying), especially with booze, its all "water weight" which is largely irrelevant. You need to get past the emotional side of both loss and gains for this stuff, as it doesnt reflect any meaning progress (or regression). The swings are so big because you are a big lad.

So now you have got back to an equilibrium, this is the point where you need to start losing the weight (hopefully fat)

I hope that doesnt sound critical, I thinking its great you are still trying to get the weight off. But dont let this weekend be the end of it. The reality is, someone of your size could lose 2 st easily at any given point. Set yourself sensible monthly targets between now and xmas (or whenever Vegas is) and stick to it.

Good man

Agree with Guy on this. Personally Girgy I think you should be weighing yourself far less frequently.

As long as you know you're doing the right things and not binging then you don't need to know your exact weight.

I'd leave it a month before your next weigh in but just make sure you're putting in maximum effort.

Keep up the good work and cut out the bad days!!!

Good luck mate.

Doing it daily would be fine as long as you keep a graph so you can see your overall progress.

As long as you can see an overall trend of reduced weight which irons out the variance you won't get disheartened by blips.

Smashed the gym this morning. Did an hour on the treadmill covering 6.4km and burning 800+ calories.

The Leeds 10k is fast approaching, 3 weeks on Sunday eeeek.
