I don't know your current weight but assume it's around the 23st region?

Just go for 2lb per week for 6 months. That would be a total loss of 52lb, nearly 4st!!

If you set a realistic goal it's much easier to stick to. If you do better then brilliant.

Yea 23st on the nose, need to be 22st 11 on Sunday morning as started at 24st 11, think lowest weight during this challenge was 22st 4 so it has fluctuated quite dramatically.

2lb per week til Xmas Day would be 54lbs, that should be more than achievable on my starting stack. If i don't succeed I have to go to DTD dressed as santa and hand out every single person a candy cane?

That sounds fair to me ..... As long as you put the effort in and update regularly  !
Don't wanna sound harsh but that's what we are here for.
As I stated when we first set out I want to be able to stay at this weight not pile it back on and be two stone heavier come Monday morning !!

If you want updates Lee thats what you'll get! Effort is something I have in abundance, common sense less so.

Can you replace my new challenge on in the OP with my new new challenge. The punishment for failure can be altered if someone comes up with a better idea. I will most likely make a token contribution to a charity also depending on my weight on 9th July.

Ok I will update but u need a date ...say December 22 which is a sat ...not Xmas day you can't hand out candy canes dressed as Santa after Xmas now can you.....lol
And say lose 50lb by that date is this agreed?
If so post weight as per on Sunday and we will use that as your starting point.

Regarding the pushups, the reason I am going for it is I have always been pretty bad at them, rather than thinking I could get to 100. If I can bang out 70 or 80 by the end of the challenge I reckon I would be chuffed. But 100 sounds so cool and its a challenge lotsa people manage

http://hundredpushups.com/

There is even an app for it

Ok I just tried and managed 22 "proper" press ups

So I am up for this ...target 75 though

£1 per miss !

And I will donate to charity

Decided on my next challenge after this Sunday.

100 consecutive push ups by August 23rd (My 33rd birthday). Apparantley it is a very tough, but achievable challenge, for most people to do this within 6 weeks. I'll have a little longer than that because my birthday seems like a much better end point. I currently can muster about 20 pushups at best, so I have a long way to go.

To do it well, I'll need to keep my weight down, so it will remain a challenge on this thread.

I'll make a formal announcement with rules etc on Sunday, reckon I'll pay £3 for every one I am off by or someink.

Count me in when you post mate ....then I'll update op.

Weighed in at 13st 13lb 3/4 this morning, so glad I stayed on the diet cokes last night during the match, just have to hold on now, I'm gonna try and get down to 13st 13lb exactly, as that will be my lowest weight of the challenge overall.

Gonna bang out some push ups today ahead of setting my challenge tomorrow.
