Would like to get involved with this from today for at least three months, assume that's cool? Did a weigh-in this morning and formulating my plan/goals, will post them up later today.

Edit: plan/goals below, any input from thread elders on achieving this much appreciated.

Start Date: 1st Feb

End Date: 1st May*

Weigh-in: 82.6kg

Target Weight: 74kgs (roughly 1.5lb loss per week)

The Plan:

Eat healthier: This will be the easiest part as I actually like foods that are good for you, enjoy cooking and have no problem cutting out carbs. The key, I think will be portion control and not snacking.  Only obstacle to this is I’m away for at least a week a month working at poker tournaments, where I’m at the mercy of tournament location and buffet/food offerings beyond my control.

Exercise more: After reading MC’s blog, I started doing the NHS 0-5k challenge before Xmas, got through week two, then real life, laziness and icy pavements scuppered my progress. Plan is to pick this up again and run three times a week. There’s also potential for a semi-regular game of squash and football once a week. I’ll also be doing the 30 minute walk from work to London Bridge twice a week minimum.

Drink less:  Both less frequently and if I do then one beer then onto something and diet coke or a glass of wine depending on the situation.

The punishment: For every .5 of a kilo I’m off my target weight on May 1st I’ll donate £5 to the Meningitis Research Foundation and £5 to a charity of Blonde’s choosing. Will update my progress on a weekly basis. Photos of weigh-ins will be taken.

*If this challenge goes to plan, I’ll start another three month cycle where I try to get to 70kg which would then put me in the ‘healthy weight’ section on NHS chart.

where's the pineapple?

Bugger.

In the fridge, I got that yesterday. Forgot to include the sliced beetroot & slim-a-soup in the photo, too.

If I can get off to a good start this weekend, & keep my head in the right place, this will be fun, & a complete doddle.

FML.

My current intake is around 4 per day.

Think I need to restrict myself to two.

The simple pleasures of life, denied, because I am a fat bugger.

If you drink coffee at home Tikay, one of these might be the trick

You get little pods for them, don't notch up too many calories with these at 1 a cup!

Thanks Marky. The odd thing is I never drink coffee at home, only in the car, & at work.

Honestly, I could never drive anywhere without a latte. It's a sort of comfort cloth, I just sip it, & end up throwing half of it away, but it'll last me hours.

I knew you were partial to one, during the tournament at the Nugget this summer you polished a few off while I was playing and I only made level 6 Cheesy
