Argh.

I knew this week would be tough.

Just ordered room service dinner and it has been served with a tray of the freshest most inviting bread I have ever seen...

If I get bad beaten in the Sunday Milly I can see my will power tested to the full.

Shit, they must be bats.

Thought they were funny looking birds.

Hmmmm.... to say this years attempt has been a fail so far would be a bit of an understatement.  So starting afresh today, 5 weeks till I go to Vegas, aiming for 21lb loss in these five weeks.

Todays weight:   16st 0lb

I almost survived a weekend at DTD/hotel life intact

I had a bit of a brain wave on Friday on the way up.

DTD kindly comp me some food and soft drinks when working.

So I ask Gabi the front of house to keep an eye on the system and because I am on a diet, have a go at me if I waver.

Of course they are long days, typically 14 hours working start to finish, and I know its just easy to order and lose focus

I make sure I get up for the hotel breakfast..cereal and fruit to at least make sure I have something in me to try to stave off the temptations

Friday 1x Chicken Noodles and soft drinks

Saturday 2x Chicken Noodles and soft drinks

But by late Saturday evening I am dog-tired and I order a portion of chips in a small bowl. Not the biggest food sin in the world (A player offered me one as I was walking round.....red rag to a bull) but disappointing in hindsight. Gabi was over by the desk within 45 minutes!

Sunday 1x chicken noodles and soft drinks

The Sweet Chilli chicken noodles at DTD? Nice and reasonably healthy too.

So, weigh in tomorrow

The jeans are beginning to fall off me again, and I am definitely losing off legs and arms and not tummy so much

Need to look into how to change that, as the resemblance to a beach ball on a pair of cocktail sticks isn't that great.

Hectically busy, frantically busy and need to make the time tomorrow onwards to do an hours walk a day.

Well done Rich, excellent work under some very tough circumstances!

Regarding the stomach, I think most of us here are in the same boat to varying degrees and unfortunately the stomach is the last thing to go. The rest will all fall away and you'll find the most stubborn pounds are around the stomach!

Amazing work though so far, especially over the weekend and I think that I would make myself about 100/1 to get through a weekend at DTD without going off the rails!

Tighty

You really should measure "perception" and "jeans test" are poor methods of assesment! You wouldnt use such slap dash methods with your cricket betting assesments!

I bet you have lost more than you think!

I lost 2.5 inches off my neck during my weight loss, and given my infrequency of wearing shirts, and the fact I never wear ties, i would have gone for less than 1" if you had asked me to guess!

I hope you are doing it - if not start today!

Yikes, Paul, that is a stern test, 21lb in 5 weeks.

If you are seriously overweight, 5lb or 6lb in week one is perfectly achievable, but it's tough to keep that rate up if you are to remain fit & healthy.

Good luck anyway.

Absolutely brilliant Rich, you have dione tremendously well.

Look forward to positive words after the weigh-in.

The Daily Exercise will be another great addition, though I overdid it on my first proper walk at the weekend (actual mileage 8 - 10 miles) & knackered myself & I'm still recovering, so take it easy &, as Tom so predictably advised me, "be sensible".

Are you feeling any benefit yet, either/both physically or mentally?
