After umming an eeeering for so long, I have finally booked Vegas!

21 Febuary - 3rd March, 10 days.

Gave in on the hotel for & went for Vdara & it came to £1,200 (which includes resort fees, I believe!)

Had to rearrange my dates after Marky's efforts but two of us got a 1 bed (plus sofa bed in lounge) apartment at Las Vegas Jockey Club for 20 nights at $1900 plus tax. What with the airmiles plus £215 flights Im happy with less than £1K per head for 20 nights tbh. Right next door to City Center and Bellagio and opposite PH, looking forward to it in two weeks time Cheesy

Have you stopped at the Jockey Club before Simon?

Nice one! Should be around Venetian most of the time, not really looked fully into schedule yet!

Cheers all for the advice on accom/location, think I'll just bite the bullet and pay a bit more for location, I guess it won't matter so much if I'm running good! Wink

LA sounds like it's got some good action but I'll have to save this for another trip I think.

Gl to all going out there this year and those lucky lot that are already there!

If you are genuinely interested/concerned tho, youtube is a pretty good resource.  Lots of 1-5min clips of vegas room walkthroughs, I took a look at JockeyClub as I doubt I will ever stay there, kind of as expected, despite some refurbishment it looks a bit old, but a perfectly ok cheap option on the strip.

Very handy to know what sorts of rooms may or may not be on offer when you grease   tip for good service.  Do you want the South or North tower?  Pool room or casino room ?  Is a suite going to be balla, or just a regular room with an extra sofa in the corner?  Etc.
