I checked with the poker host at Aria and she hadn't even heard about the restrictions - they are still issuing.  Fingers crossed i'll actually need one now Cheesy

Hopefully that's the case in the summer, and I can just pop over to the cardroom for one Grin

Any recommendations for Sunday Brunch? It's been many years since I've been to Vegas and last time round did the Sterling brunch which was lovely but pricey. Have booked there again but can't help thinking that some of the champagne brunches elsewhere at half the price must be at least almost as good? Not big on seafood but champers is a must as is decent meat and egg dishes (and desserts obv!)

That's the most recent couple of brunch threads @ VMB

Ballys  is still v v nice the champagne was Perrier jouet last time we went - 2 years ago - we are going at Easter may well visit !if we do I will update !
It's slowly being modernised the old plush red seats n booths are going - probably all gone now indeed
Modern furniture being installed
The old maitre d was still tho in his from opening time ,its very old school old Vegas style
So much quality food too

There's some diabolical picks on that board!!

If you like jazz and/or happy to spend, Country Club Jazz Brunch ftmfw.  Much better experience than any of the buffets, of which Wicked Spoon is the pick.  It would also be tough to complain at Bacchanal (unless you wait in line) or at Wynn Buffet, no need to look beyond those.

I think the americans seem to look at things on a 'I only paid $10 for that food, which is good, even though the food was crap' Cheesy

I've been to a buffet once, and that was the Bellagio in 2008.

Andrew Neeme is really taking off, and his YouTube channel has gotten up to 40k subs in less than 6 months

Good interview with Card Player, who I had no idea were still operating.

I find the vlogs very enjoyable anyway, but a real shame that the cardrooms seem so averse to letting them film hands at the table.

Fair play to Andrew Neeme. Seems a likeable well rounded guy. Enjoy his vlogs.

Brad Owen is also a reasonable watch.

Yeah, seems to live a very balanced life, for a poker player.

I have watched Brad's, but lots on at the moment, so Trooper and Andrew are the only ones I watch religiously.

His mate that plays PLO also vlogs, and I try catching those when I get the chance.

These vlogs - how far back is it worth going? Right back to the beginning or just start at say, last 2 weeks?

Andrew's I'd 100% recommend starting with the pilot. He only logs 1-2 times a week, and they're excellent.

Trooper has been vlogging for years, so has a lot of content. I normally watch his now when I have my last shake of the day before bed.

One I forgot is Pokerkraut, who is hilarious, and likes trolling Trooper.

What are the chances of getting a better deal on the phone? As I've just been checking Last Minute and they've got a potential deal.

I looked at the booking and they have the flight coming back as the direct Virgin flight, but going over it is a connection and much longer flight and so on. If I am to phone Last Minute, do you think there is much chance of me getting on the direct flight to Las Vegas a little cheaper than the £250 extra they charge to change it or if it all they can change the flight completely to another city?

I can't seem to do Depart London-Vegas and Vegas-Manchester. But the Norway Air still have £170 flights that day.

Thoughts? Looking foward to your sarcasm and piss taking Mark!

Cheesy

I've never used them, but when you go with some packages on ebookers/expedia, there are flight options, and a 1stop is often one of the Virgin options.

Was looking for a mate last week, as he might come out for UFC in July, and it was only about £50 more to have the Virgin direct both ways, over the one stop on the way out.

Sadly, the virgin going there is £250 more.

Sounds like Norwegian Air, or a one stop flight is best for you then mate.

And we'll see you for another round of 'I can't believe how much x/y/z is!!', next time you're planning a Vegas trip Grin
