Great across the card bronze double for the GB 400m relay teams.  Awesome effort!

I am going to Perry Barr BAGS for the afternoon Tal in a minute if you fancy a punt at your local track.  Should be quite busy with the holiday crowd allowed in for free.

I'm at the Hippodrome in Leicester Square, mate. No can do, I'm afraid. Happy machining

August has been a bit of a washout, unfortunately. At least part of that is due to my not being able to give the thread the atteniton it deserves. this means tips can be missed, and sometimes i don't prompt discussions at the right times which usually helped (or i thought it did).

i hope to resume reports on the 1st, just need to get back into the swing of it

in the meantime, and i am cognisant that we are still missing some valued regulars that i would rather were not missing but thats up to them.

september is busy

- the us open tennis starts tomorrow. there are matches, quarters, the outright to bet on

- the rugby world cup starts mid month

- england play in san marino next weekend. i remember (fondly) the dubai coup last time england played in san marino. we backed 5 england players e/w to score. they all did and we cleared severla hundred quid

bet365 may not be an option for us this time, but i would like to hear what i should be doing if i had a clean bet365 account to use

- the nfl season starts in ten days time

- there is a cricket t20 international tomorrow and a five match 0DIi series to conclude the Australia tour

- there are three grand prix in september

- Strictly starts next week

- X Factor has started

- before long there will be darts, dogs and a multitude of other sports to go at

lets be having plenty of tips please!

Bafetimbi Gomis became the 2nd player in Swansea history to score in first 4 League games of a season; first since 1923-24

Wayne Rooney: Has failed to score in 10 consecutive Premier League games for the first time since December 2003

we have found ourselves on both for the golden boot

how ponderous were Man U?

roma beat juve 2-1 (we are on roma for serie a).

Szczesny with a fine save to enable roma to hold on

Not been home long but you beat me to it.

Pleasing to Dzeko on the scoresheet, think he is very much suited for that league. Early doors but a promising start, especially with Juve now being 2/2 for defeats.

Did anyone else catch the commentator on MOTD when chelski equalized saying "who else"? thinking it was Diego Costa and then covering up almost seamlessly saying "Falcau"?

Yes, when he said 'who else' I presumed it was Costa and did a double take.

I watch MOTD every week without knowing the results.
