Any American Football suggestions? Know little about the sport tbh but enjoyed the sweats last week.

If you can get on with bet 3&65 then New Orleans +8.5 at 21/20 is a good bet.

Hopefully lots. The more the merrier.

Some interesting games this week as there are so many big players injured. Everyone's guessing a bit as to how well the teams will cope, but that needn't stop us.

Buffalo underdogs in Miami interests me, but I'm obviously biased, being a Bills fan, so I'll leave that for now here. Miami famously don't have the same home field advantage as some teams. Divisional game and these are the two teams vying for second in the division, in all likelihood. Only one can realistically make the playoffs and both teams will be hurting from their defeat last week.

I'll stick to the submarkets though. Back later this afternoon with anything I can find.

5 races of the F1 season to go, first ante post winner

Ricciardo v Vettel   Vettel   6/4   16.65

Vettel 218, Ricciardo 73, even if ricciardo won the last 5 and vettel retired from all five he couldn't catch him

--

Force India 8 points in the race, currently £16 in profit

McLaren 0 points, 17 for the season currently £136 in profit

Mark Ingram first TD 10/1 is big too. They'll be running it all night, he'll be running it at the goal line and he is excellent stats wise for converting chances,

Jean de Villiers, South Africa captain, is out of the World Cup with a fractured jaw.

this puts Kriel back in the first choice line up

Cheers lads, look forward to more sage advice. I'm turning into a bit of an American Footie convert.

I saw it, couldn't even think about anything that wasn't rugby at the time :-). I like this one best, I fear for the Bears but you can't really go wrong backing a 14.5 dog. Dallas, I'll defer to your judgement, Weeden isn't nearly as good as Jerry would have us believe.

Lumiere is 14-1 for the 1000

That looks interesting, does it not?

Johnson is "sure she'll win the guineas" apparently. lolbrokes still 14's, everyone else 8,9,10's.

http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/report/693842/lumiere-lights-up-newmarket

Yikes! Johnston says something more interesting in one race report than Richard Fahey has managed on there in a few years of writing a Saturday column.

She reminded me so much of Attraction yesterday it's untrue.

Hard to know when greys have gone in their coat but obv the trainer will know more. She's listed as 'bay' but pretty sure that's steel grey.

I've never been able to get Johnston horses right. He's a bit like Hannon snr for me in that there's no rhyme or reason to it, he just throws loads of darts and some stick. But he knows what he's got and, if they're backed, they usually perform.

Given the number of top 2yos he's had I guess we have to take this seriously and snap up the 14s while it's there. Suggest we flick it hard too, £100 at 14-1.

atlanta at the cowboys

two 2-0 teams

the cowboys offense, skill positions, as follows

weeden

randle and mcfadden

witten

williams, street, beasley

so far this season the running game hasn't been clicking, and atlanta must stack to stop the run anyway. obvious cowboy tactic is to control the clock and shorten the falcons possessions for ryan/julio etc

bryant is injured, and i don't see williams getting the better of trufant. street is barely NFL ready

witten isn't a game breaker now and is just about fit. sprained an ankle and both knees last weekend

weeden will be dinking and dunking, not taking too many risks, trying to take the match deep and keep them in it

cole beasley runs all the welker/edelman routes in the flats, matching up against linebackers and safeties

the quote only has him in for 36 yards receiving. 4-5 receptions should do it

http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/atlanta-falcons-at-dallas-cowboys/total-receiving-yds-cole-beasley

8 catches for 63 yards so far this season, 4 receptions per game

i like lance dunbar for the same reasons, but no quotes there

Force India 8 points in the race, currently £16 in profit

What was the stake? I bought at 53 for a stake of £20. Guaranteed profit of £480 so far Smiley

Do the Oakland Raiders look a good bet to beat the Browns tonight?

not sure the words oakland raiders and good bet have been in the same sentence since 1990

they are favourites (edit they aren't), and finally have drafted some talent that means they should improve steadily from here

they match up well against the browns because their big weakness, the defensive secondary is match by the browns having 1, at most, good receivers, travis benjamin.

i think they will win by stopping the browns running and carr/cooper/murray etc will score enough points
