Scott Chandler was thrown to twice. TWICE. TWICE

Through my attempts to avoid sleep I was frustrated

He got 30 yards on his two throws

The bet I should have recommended, Spiller, beat the spread with 91 yards on 22 carries.

Miami really didn't stop him enough for Chandler to get enough looks

Funny game, these bets

Well yes. I watched the first two quarters, & I was not even convinced he was playing!

It happens, next case.

This wicket is turning almost square already!

8/15 can't be right, is 1/3 on Betfair.   Snap it up if available.

England did quite well today, restricting India to 200 odd for 4 in 70 overs

The split of the bowling figures says it all really

Their seamers combined for 70-10-245-1; their spinners 90-12-265-7. India haven't made the same mistake in team selection, promptly declared earlier than many expected and opened with a spinner

Great stuff for the purist.

The marvellous Pragjan Ojha, of whom I am an unashamed fan boy after he span my county to promotion in 2011, then twirled away and span it miles in the last 20 overs, with four slips in place resembling an U11 school match field. Superb bowler, grips it good and proud and flights it wonderfully.

Anyway, England got to 26, lost Compton to a massive turner from Ashwin, sent a nightwatchman in (far too early, Anderson was never going to last 25 minutes against Ojha and Ashwin) and got him straight away with Ojha and got Trott for a duck

The task tomorrow is to get 322 to save the follow on. However the pressure from scoreboard and facing attacking fields will be high and the pitch was being disturbed by the spin tonight. Tough ask to save this test, already

Proper Test cricket!

Junior Wall 206 not out. What a start to Cake Correspondent's 7-1 top Indian bat series bet (£20 staked)!  Best price now? Even money.

(Its been a long time since someone I had never heard of a week before the test scored a double....!)

Of our Series bets, 4-0,3-0 and 3-1 at prices from 7-1 to 14-1 the favourite in the market is now 3-1 at 3-1, we are on at 12-1! 4-0? Under 7-1.

Thread has India at 11/8 to win this test. Well it was a press yesterday at 8/11. Best now? 1/3. In reality they are 1/7 -1/8. Should win in 4 days.

Anderson top England bowler, well he got a wicket, and kept pace with Swann today albeit 4 behind after an innings. With little sign of reverse swing here and of course flat pitches everywhere, that bet is an uphill slog, it seems

India know what they have to do to stuff England, a huge motivation after the last English series where they got stuffed themselves on green tops. Flat ones at the outset that break up/don't last five days. Even if they lose the toss, back their two spinners to have the hoodoo over England.

I would suggest that is a likely outcome. Our spin technique on these pitches isn't up to it, in the same way as asking Sehwag's technique to hold up on a seaming pitch in May at Trent Bridge, and not nick off behind, isn't going to happen. Both to do with lack of confidence i n footwork.

Horses for courses.

The Mission.

Tikay took out his ippy and logged in to the NHS  self diagnosis website.  He entered Mere's symptoms. Poor/zero communication skills, far away look in eyes, devoid of reality, occasional strange half smile. The symptoms produced a hit- Mere had turned into Sarah Palin ! Realising that was not possible Tikay re entered the data but adding the fixation with women's tennis. Bingo. Mere had a rare disease called tennisform comatosis.

Going to the google web page to research the disease Tikay had to chuckle to himself. The homepage had a wonderful picture celebrating Stephenson's rocket. Clicking on the picture the train made a " choo choo " noise and drove off the page. "They are geniuses " Tikay exclaimed.

Researching tennisform comatosis Tikay found the place that had the best results treating patients was in America. Treatment was in house for a month and cost £25,000. He knew a while ago he had £10,000 from his last winning trip to Vegas but that had been eaten into by a couple of losing stakes of Cambridge Alex and a whole host of losing stakes in Smashedagain.  He reckoned that he had about £3,000 left. Nowhere near enough to help Mere.

A plan started to form in his mind. Yes, a spin up to end all spin ups. He would get the top betting brains from Blonde together and turn his £3.000 into £25,000 in a day.

It was time to gather the elders and wisemen.  Using his phone he started with the A's. Aaron ...  damn there was no ring tone, he must have transferred his number over incorrectly into his new phone. No panic thought Tikay there are plenty of others I can get.

B.. BadBeat. The phone was ringing.

" Hello"

" Badbeat, it's Tikay. I need you here at Mere's pronto. Where are you ? "

" I am in Belgium looking at rugby pitches. "

" Sod that, get your arse on Euro star and get here to Mere's a.s.a.p "

" Will do Tikay, be there in about 6 hours.

Other calls went out. Dubai and Eso Kral were already speeding round the M25 in Dubai's RS Turbo. Tightend was really pissed off. He got the call just as he had reached the Meteorological head office. He had procurred a false ID and was about to enter the inner sanctum, where he would have been able to study the weather predictions throughout the globe. He was in tears walking back to his car but he couldn't refuse Tikay's summons.

With Milligan also on his way Tikay reckoned that he had the team to complete the mission. He just had time to get to Tesco's to get some provisions for the weekend before the team started to arrive. He studdied his shopping list, 40 chicken breasts, 24 cans of tomatoes, 120 eggs. Tikay made a mental note to make sure he got Cirio tomato fillets and not his usual own label, after all Dubai was coming.

Think I may have got caught by the blonde clock.  Always a few minutes fast, so it looks like you just posted but in reality it was 5 minutes earlier.
