Daily Report as at 11.40am, Thursday November 15th

We lost exactly £5 yesterday.

4 bets completed, three went south, one got home.

We had a Wm Hill “Priority Price" of 3/1 on Phil Taylor in the darts (-£10), & two NFL bets on the Dolphins-Bills affair, which went spectacularly awry (-£35).

This was largely covered by Snowball’s excellent bet on Winstanley “Most 180’s” v Monk (+£40).

Happy with that, if we keep our discipline, but give ourself a chance to win, we should be OK.

We have some interesting “in-running” bets, including £40 @ 11/8 India to win the First Test. Current price is 10/11. We also have Wall Junior as Top Series batter @ 7/1, but I’ll leave the cricket summary to His Tightness.

In Darts, we are on MVG to win the World’s (£10 @ 50/1), though I now note it is WIN only, not EW as I may have indicated earlier. He is now a best-priced 6/1.

We placed some really interesting bets yesterday, & I’m very optimistic we can ping a few of them & get into comma territory soon. We shall see.

Thread has India at 11/8 to win this test. Well it was a press yesterday at 8/11. Best now? 1/3. In reality they are 1/7 -1/8. Should win in 4 days.

Spot on Rich. I'm such a nit, I dither way too much. I was pretty busy yesterday, but I even had the site open, ready to press "Bet", & I bottled it.

I lose so much value at times by being dithery, I need to get a bit more trigger-happy.

Oddly enough, with England 26-0 this morning, I read something on BBC Sport that said "it's just not possible for England to be bowled out twice on this pitch". Hmm.

You have surpassed yourself Mr T with that pic of the bus, and that back garden cricket pic is so evocative. Only thing wrong with the cricket one is that the youngest child should have been forced to be the wicky

I'm not so keen on the Dolan bet @ 13/8 as it's pretty much the correct price.
Id have them 11/8 the pair.

Thanks h.

The bus photo is from my private stash, I have every London Bus Route covered, & all the London Tube Stations. You can come & spend the evening perusing them one day. Chompy BEGS me to have a look through them, they don't have buses or trains in the Fens yet.

I agree as to the garden cricket photo, incredibly evocative, but you need to be of a certain age to understand & appreciate it. It's a magnificent photo. It could have been me in it, too.

I seem to remember that to resolve all the lbw issues you had to face 3 balls holding the bat upside down and trying to defend your wicket using the handle. The six and out rule must have held back the development of cricket in this country. I bet the Indian kids don't use it in their games.
