I had better stop my pedantic blathering & do some work.

We have got on that Wm Hill Priority Offer, Jack Dexter @ 7/1, which I did at 0830 this morning. Whilst, as it happens, plane-spotting at Heathrow, (anorak, vacuum flask & rucksack included), which requires my i-Pad, (FlightRadar.com ftw), but which was also handy for Mobile bettering. What a life, plane-spotting & puntering!

There was definite green lights on the thread as a value EW bet, but then Chompy came along & suggested Win Only, with a view to Trading..

Dubai, (DUBAI SHOCKER) had suggested as much EW as possible.

More mindful of the status of my Wm Hill Account than anything, I eventually bottled it & invested 0.0113284,795 of Kelly, being £50 EW @ 7/1.

It is now generally 6/1 (7/1 in one spot, BetVictor), & on Betfair, 7.4, so I'm still not sure how much value we have stolen, if any.

Anyway, we are on now, & the bet is down to FRED.

We have £50 EW @ 7/1, Wm Hil, Jack Dexter, 3.30 Doncaster.

ON

13 Apr 13 / 08:34  Single (EW) 1   3:30 Doncaster  –  Win Jack Dexter @ Guaranteed Price (7/1) – £100.00 O/0457483/0000394/F

Norrrrrr!

I sayed...

William Hill Priority Offer.

From 0830 Saturday morning, Hills go 7/1 Jack Dexter in the 3.30 Donny.

General price elsewhere is between 5/1 and 6/1.

We generally back these blind, but is this a bet for us?

PS - 20 runners, quarter odds 1, 2, 3, 4.

In this case I think you'd be better off taking £500 out of him @ 7.6. He's only gonna drift from here, once the £2 7/1 merchants start trying to green up for enough to buy a bag of chips, and there's plenty of 6/1 around as it is. Then you can go green early afternoon, which would be...oi oi!

Theirs talk that Tiger could get disqualified because of where he dropped his Ball on the 15th.

It's an interesting one....http://www.wusa9.com/news/article/254290/25/Could-Tiger-Woods-Be-Disqualified-From-The-Masters

Drifting on betfair.

This is bullshit. He dropped it in line directly back from the point it crossed the hazard. Yes it was two yards back from his previous shot but that is permitted. It looked weird at the time but its fine. Press just being alarmist.

BUMPED.

Greg is currently AWOL, watching, would you believe, Mansfield Town FC. Each to their own, eh?

I don't think Greg can have fully understood the situation TBH.

He still plays off +1 btw.

When i watched it i did notice the drop was two yards back from the original divot. As a pro golfer they bend the rules to their maximum advantage and that is generally accepted. In this spot, there is no way the greatest golfer that EVER lived would risk the ball rolling into the original divot so it is accepted that you drop it as close to as possible to the original spot. He could have gone as far back in line to the point of entry in to the hazard. He clearly took the option to drop frommthe same spot but yiu can NEVER get it exactly in the same spot so as close to as possible is accepted. This drop was not a measured one (i.e. one or two club lengths) so i think he will argue this one out. He should not have said what he said butsure his PR team are working this one through.

NO pro golfer would ever knowingly take an advantage from such a situation in such a high profile tourney. It would be more than their career is worth. It is the sport with the highest integrity going.

If the USGA think he should be disqualified then they would do it but think this is so grey that he will get away with it. I would go with the side lf him staying in the event.

How would he know where c is though? Or was he an absolute mile from the line? Is it possible he assumed the ball hit the pin and rebounded straight back towards him?

I didnt actually watch it, but was the rules man with that 3-ball not questioned during the drop?

Rules man should have been mote involved IMO. very much like the Dustin Johnson drop out of a bunker in the US Open a couple of years back. There is one with every group so should be on it immediately

Cannot be a 2 shot penalty as he has signed his card so he would be 'd for signing for the wrong score.

If he didn't sign card, is that a dq offence?

Or did he not sign it because he was unsure if he to face a penalty?

USGA rule 33-7. Disqualification Penalty; Committee Discretion

A penalty of disqualification may in exceptional individual cases be waived, modified or imposed if the Committee considers such action warranted.

Any penalty less than disqualification must not be waived or modified.

Love the media lol, this has been a crazy 24 hours or so for golf.
