Ladbrokes only allowed £1 at 11/1 on Garcia for top European so I took it!
Should we top up at 10/1?

Rarely punt on golf, but I invested in Adz rec on Garcia yesterday, liked his stats info.

have a tip for top amateur in the us open Micheal Kim i would suggest £20 @ 7/1 (corals, bet 365) he is another golfer from the university of california 3 of them qualified for this years us open he is the best of the 3 having won 4 college tourneys this year his bio: //www.calbears.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/michael_kim_765403.html  suggests he is a great putter and incredible with a wedge also is a fairly short straight hitter who was awarded the haskins award for best college golfer and he also tops the golfweek college rankings so cannot understand why he is 5th favourite in the betting should be about 4/1- 9/2 imo.

Just spotted this, I missed it yesterday, sorry.

I no longer have any betting rights here, so bumped for the new MereManagement.......

On.

Bwin 7/1

You got Restricted?

!

If it were my decision, I'd top up @ 10/1, which was the price Adzy recommended it at. But it's not.......

I think that we have the following thoughts on the US Open:

TightEnd

Stenson 70-1    e/w
Weekley 100-1  e/w   (now 110/1 on Coral but only paying 5 places as opposed to 100/1 on VC for 7 places)  (139/1 available on Betfair but not good for places)

No feedback as yet from anyone "putting him off".

moonandback

Michael Kim   7/1 for top amateur  (still 7/1 on Coral)   not available on Betfair???

BigAdz

Sergio 10/1 for top European   (now 11/1 on Ladbrokes which beats Betfair)

Several bookmakers are offering 1/4 odds for 7 places (according to tikay).

Betfair:
http://www.betfair.com/exchange/golf/event?id=26917934   (winner)
http://www.betfair.com/exchange/golf/market?id=1.109739516 (amateur)
http://www.betfair.com/exchange/golf/market?id=1.107320859 (European)

Oddschecker
http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/us-open/winner
http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/us-open/us-open/top-amateur
http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/us-open/us-open/top-european

In the best tradition of shrewd betting I may have a small wager on some or all of those but would like some feedback.
I'll be placing the bets shortly so I haven't given you much time.

BetVictor & JenningsBet, according to my personal how many places at what odds spreadsheet.

On.

I missed the price with Alcaeus and took 5/4 instead of 11/8.

13/06/2013 GBP 25.00 Single: 3 POISSON D'OR @ 8/11
13/06/2013 GBP 25.00 Single: 2 SONGBIRD @ 1/1
13/06/2013 GBP 25.00 Single: 1 ALCAEUS @ 5/4
[/quote]

Hi, I assume that the following small print term means the 17.25 race doesn't qualify for offer, (Poisson obv gonna romp home anyways)

Applies to all selections that finish second on Wednesday and Thursday 12th & 13th June 2013 in a BetVictor sponsored race at Yarmouth only.

Dammit, read the terms and conditions too, obviously not very well.  We get ice cream points for that one, so all isn't lost.

To limit exposure and in an attempt not to bust tikay on my first day, that's the last of these offers that I'm going to back today.

Are they good bets though?

short priced favourites without thought as to whether they are the right price, good favourites, good or bad races etc etc?

Ofte n these favourites lose, and then the chances of getting that back on the free bets is questionable as they then go on 10-1+ shots

so we back questionable favourites at effiecient prices with no recourse to value then stick the free bets on outsiders and get the double whammy of not getting that slither of value back

I probably missed the EV exposition on them...
