Very early days still but Ms Hedwall appears to be travelling nicely on the bridle.

PLEASE IGNORE THIS POST AS IT BREAKS EVERY RULE OF BANKROLL MANAGEMENT AND IT POSSIBLY THE STUPIDEST BET OF ALL TIME, if you ignore my warning I would recommend you visit GA first thing in the morning, HOWEVER I'm on this absolutely stupid bet coz its got lovely binking potential and its not gonna kill me if it bricks.......there is a minuscule of method in the extreme amount madness though

Premier League Darts tonight
James Wade v Kevin Painter........Wade a bit iffy and easily distracted this season v Painter enjoying one of his best seasons ever
Phil Taylor   v Simon Whitlock....Taylor should win, but if Whitlock gets off to good start, he could run him close
Andy Hamilton v Raymond van Barneveld....Hamilton the draw specialist, who can match the big guys when hes in the mood
Adrian Lewis v Gary Anderson after the Death of Andersons father he has been getting himself together over last few games

All games should/could be very tight, and this week is IMO the fairest match up this season with draws quite possible in every game, Taylor v Whitlock is the most unlikely, but Whitlock really raises his game against Taylor and if he gets off to a good start he will run Taylor close (there are reasons I think the others will be close too, but CBA explain, its a lotto gamble this bet nothing more Smiley ) top players should win (most times) on their own throw, and eventually one week it will happen where all 4 games end in a draw....it could be this one......I've had a mad £1 lucky 15 with all draws, if there is one draw I get nearly half my stake back, 2 draws is around 3x the stake 3 is mini bink time all 4 is £2500+ with PP, SKY and B365.

PS I hope you don't back it, it will be very stupid and its burning money.......also every bet I've mentioned that you've backed has been a loser...the ones you have ignored are going pretty nicely or won....Cheesy

How much should I put Marky147 down for, he loves a mad cheap spin up sweat ?? hahaha..............

Excellent news, Ralphy boy, but in case Red is spying, I shall decline to enjoin with you as to including further horseracing or jockey analogies. But let's hope she travels wll all the way, & wins, err, on a tight rein.

There's never harm in putting bets up, but if I swerve them, or, as with your one this afternoon, miss them because I am absent, (it was my pre TV Show beauty sleep - FAIL) I hope everyone realises it's not personal.

Completely agree with u Teeks, this thread, as Bobby said, should be where all the people who have interests in diff sports and bet on them regularly bring their real finds, the ones where the price sticks out as real value, mortgage jobs I called them earlier in the thread.

So back to my niche...NBA....it just so happens we have a lot of betting opportunites this week as the playoffs start saturday and the regular season finishes tonight. Lots of teams have their fates sealed, so whether resting stars for the playoffs, or giving kids a chance with nuthin to play for, there's bit swings in the team news and effort (remembering in a draft system u have more chance of getting a good player next year if u do worse this).

One to keep an eye on tonight is the LA Lakers at Sacremento. The Lakers are already set in the third seed in the west, the Kings are out of the picture. LA are set to drop their whole starting line-up to rest, but there's an exception. Kobe Bryant (star man, legend) needs to score 38 to take the scoring title this season. His nearest rival played his last game last night so he knows 38 wins it. Kobe is very single minded (selfish) and no doubt would love that title, if he has a chance he'll go for it. He kinda gets what he wants too, and the LA coach could well insert some other good players even if they don't start to help Kobe. One to just keep an eye on for now....I've backed LA at 9/5 with VC but it's pretty risky so not one of my mortgage jobs yet Smiley

The days of pros have a tiny amount of bets are long gone imo.

20 years ago, pros could ignore bets which offered a small ROI and waited for juicy spots with massive edges.

Now, because of betfair telling the world what the correct price is (near enough anyway) and the difficulty getting bets on, you need to have loads of bets with tiny edges to earn a fraction of the income you could make in days gone by.

Not qualified to argue about that, Keith, but you only give us, on average, one per week, or even less. Most win. So I assume you just reserve "standouts" for the thread.

I just don't have the time to manage more than the current number, & I don't want it to become less than it is now - a bit of fun for us recreationals, mixed up with a sort of Betting Board PHA.

We will end this month with an average of 3 bets per day - some days zero, some days 5 or 6. That's spot on, imo.

The more different people post up bets, the better, too, though I confess, (except when from the Elders), I do like to see them properly presented - the what, why, when, justification, target price, what bookie, etc.

And I enjoy the "silly" bets now & then (not MANTIS singing dude slily, but just seriously silly), if we are making a few bob - & we are so far - thern there is no harm in the odd daft bet.

All good so far, imo, & thats the thing - I don't want that to change.

Barny under 97.5 avg £60@5/6 vc
Lewis most 180s v Anderson £100 @3/4 sportingbet
£25 170 checkout scored in Taylor v Whitlock match @ 14s ladbrokes

On my way.

Whilst I do, have you, or anyone, got a view on how daft, on a daftness scale of 1 to 10 (1 is Captain Sensible, me, 10 is MANTIS daft) that "PL Darts draws" bet that Geordieneil posted?

I get the wrong side of his recommends EVERY time!
