I'm ashamed to admit I haven't been following this thread for the last week or so.

Have we got a Derby bet yet?

I think Astrology is huge each way value at 10/1. 1/4 1,2,3 Ladbrokes.

Thanks Keith.

We have a Derby runner, let's hope we can start June off with a bang, & cop the Oaks or Derby winner. Or both.

£50 EW with Ladbrokes, quarter odds 1, 2, 3.

Siem 5 under after 15.

Noren 9 over after 12. A quadruple bogey 7 didn't help at 3.

Coetzee 1 over after 12.

Sandy! Did you say NINE over?

NINE? Like, you know, the number between 8 & 10?

Celtic Manor is playing very tough today.

Gary Boyd, a talented player, has had two birdies today but he's also had two TENS and is currently +19 through 14 holes!

I know you like your longer lasting bets so here is one for Euro 2012.

£55 less than 75.5 goals with Paddy Power at 8/11.

England and Spain have both lost their main strikers for part or all the tournament, and the Italians are going to be playing 8-1-1. I am a bit worried about the Dutch and French but I reckon the Germans will be concentrating on getting the sun loungers by the pool. Generally the European players are worn out after a long season and I predict a heatwave will hit Poland meaning no-one will be moving about much on the pitch. Plus the quality of the surfaces of the pitches must be a bit dodgy as it is in Poland after all and there is no-one left over there to tend them as they are all over here. Plus Andy Carroll is only 50-1 to be the top tournament goal scorer and I am better than him!

Good grief! And we think we are running bad. Poor chap.

I was watching the Live Leaderboard, & I noticed several players had an 8, too.

Who can predict these things?

I played Celtic Manor once. Once too many, was a bit tough for me, though there was a delicious dog-leg par 4, over a big gully, water & all sorts, on which I managed par. My only par of the round.

Interesting. I would say that is broadly positive.

Hi Hector. I'll deal with that later, I need to get some sleep now for tonight's Show, so a bit pulled out today, but thanks.

ignoring the joke for a second, the only stadium that may have a poor playing surface is poznan and 2 of the 3 matches being played there involve italy so will probably be low scoring anyway regardless of the pitch

Whereas you might think this bet has every chance to win is it really any value at 8-11?

It was 5-6 a day or so ago and i'd say the price/any value has long gone.

+ I totally disagree about carroll, 50's looks generous to me.
