is there any appeal in Tiger Woods to miss the cut at 5/2 Bet Victor, 11/4 B365 if you can get it?
one tournament back since injury, missed the cut. this is known of course
been at Hoylake for a week, practiced a few rounds. doing the standard links strategy, no driver in the bag, place off the tee and manage round the course
you want him or to be against him?

Afternoon Mr T's.
Not sure what it says about my personality but I do love to bet on a player to miss the cut at the Open. My choice for some value in this is Luke Donald. He is without a win in 2 years, missed the cut at this years masters and the US open. He has missed the cut at 2 of the last 3 Opens, and the only saving grace is that apparently the course should suit him. The most crucial factor for me though is that on Friday he tees off at 1.30pm, which should be the worst of the weather.
Suggest £20 Donald to miss the cut @ 12/5 with Betfred.

TdF ... looks like I got that one wrong. The only thing I got right was that someone would break from the sprinters group. And the decision to back against the favourites. Gallopin did not figure in my shortlist. How about yours, Tonji? Was also not the reduced bunch that I was hoping for. I was expecting the climbs to be a little tougher, and not expecting so many sprinters to be up there. Maybe I should spend some time on Google Earth looking at the parcours beforehand.
Great day's racing though.
Nope, didn't have Gallopin either, kinda assumed he'd be cooked after his efforts earlier. Certainly correct to go against short price favourites imo, just need a touch of luck in selecting riders. My short list was around 20 in this stage.
Such is life! Keep plugging away.

On the India cricket bet, delaying further
the covers have just come off at Lords, and its still very green
England have been backed in today in advance of this, so its no great surprise
some grass will come off before tomorrow but it looks as if the MCC are being home team friendly, which after the media frenzy of Nottingham is not too unexpected

In the 3 ball bets, doesn't Furyk at 10/11 against Darren Clarke and Tom Watson look value?
I'd appreciate other views.

McDowell at 30/1 8 places bf looks a no brainer selection even though i know nothing about golf. Can fred can £10 ew down to me?
Think this was the first one we did, unfortunately price was 28/1 and you can now get 30/1. No harm in pressing though.
DON'T BET IF YOU HAVE ANY INTENTION OF TRADING IN THE EXCHANGE MARKET AS YOU WON'T GET THE 7TH AND 8TH PLACE
Or use a different account!

I want to be against him; I have taken a lower variance approach and shamelessly taken Steve Palmers match pick of 8/11 Kaymar v Tiger (Coral) and added Sergio in same bet at 10/11 with Ladbrokes. Its so hard as he "is Tiger Woods" - however if you look at all the factual information in terms of injury, Congregational and current form I made both nearer 4/7 shots over 72 holes.

First things first.
I just trawled throgh the top 56 or so runners on oddschecker, and in every single one I could find a bookie offering a postive expectation bet when compared to the betfair market. I can't remember seeing that before and I have done a few of them.
No less than 28 of those have a +20% expectation.
I am time poor right now, but here is a list of those
Stenson (16/1 BF sportsbook, or Fred/Goat)
Keymar, McDowell and McIllroy we have already. Garcia is very close
Dustin Johnson (Fred/Goat) at 40/1
Jason Day (Fred/Goat) at 40/1
Bubba Watson (Fred/Goat) at 50/1
Matsuyama is 55/1 with BF SB but hasn't played for a month, maybe give him a miss.
Jim Furyk at 60/1 7 places (b365/paddies/hills). betway are slightly better
Snedeker at 66/1, Westwood at 66/1, Casey at 59/1, Bjorn 70/1 and Cabrera 66/1 all show up on BF SB.
Donaldson 80/1, Gallacher 80/1 and Jiminez at 90/1 are all there too.
Jimmy Walker is good in multiple books (90/1 7 places is good at b365 as is 80/1 8 places Tote/Fred
There are another 8 or so, but have to go out. Can somebody go through these for early draws on the first day please. As before you can use this list as you choose, but please don't miss value through arguing. And if you don't like this list just back anybody in the top 56 with the best offer!
Just to make it clear I am not suggesting we back every single one of these, even if I know a man who has.
and PLEASE, PLEASE MAKE NO EXCHANGE BETS ON THE OPEN

Yes. All bets need to be e/w. Lowest variance route is to take those with lowest prices. Can't add anything much more for at least a couple of hours. Sorry
Edit low draw Thursday is preferred but presume a bit of that is in price. I am easy if someone piped up and says they like someone I have listed at 80/1 over one I have listed at 40/1. Is just important to get some bets on when the market is like this.

Are these Betfair issues not another reason to have a Betdaq account?
