I'll tell you what really would be an interesting geeky stat (esp after a longer sample size).
Which bookmakers do you win most from and which do you lose most to.

Thanks for that tikay! It was the Dean Morris Algorithm I hadn't heard of - I am aware of the
MANTIS
/Voice
debacle
....!
Liking your style already. "MANTIS" & "debacle" in same sentence works for me.

Based upon the current small sample size, that is easy to work out - on the spreadsheet every bet is ascribed to whatever bookmaker was used on the spready. Might take me a while to work out, though Mere can probably press a button to get the answer.

Wouldn't leave the Bolton bet too long, I envisage the 4.4 won't last.
The match I want to get with Bolton is when Muamba either tuns up at the stadium or at training the day before a game.
"Win this one for me" he'll say.
Can't imagine a bigger motivational tool.
Wonder when Coyle will use his trump card.
Good point, will be interesting.

'Fabrice Muamba could attend Bolton v Tottenham match'
Bolton win is currently about 3/1....

I like this line of thinking, and the bet. Spurs have been poor for a while; can take nothing from beating Blackburn 2-0, BB were atrocious.
Can lay Spurs at just under evens. Looks like a low price to me.

Just out of interest (am loving the stats), who's the top tipster so far in terms of bets placed, ie bets placed 4, won 2, lost 2!
Loving this thread, my record is:
Placed 1
Won 0
Drew 1
Lost 0
So no profit or loss, stake returned!
I can probably provide a huge insight into the Fishomania contest near the time, as I'm claiming to be the resident Blonde fishing expert, well, if I tip a winner anyway. It's another sport that we would have bet on at least.

You just know the camel has had his eye on this and got the best possible price. Amazing how things like this can have such an influence.

Glad it's not just me (&, inevitable, Mere) who enjoys the stats, I am almost fixated by the wonder of them.
Top Tipster?
When Mere set the spread up, he asked me if we should have a specific column & tab for that, but I declined. There are inherent dangers in that. Some will be overly embarrassed, for example, & that’s not the idea at all to do that to anyone. (Dean, MANTIS & I suppose Chompy excepted, obv). It’s not intended to be an “in your eye” thread. Part of the thread's popularity, I suspect, is the almost total lack of trolling or bad vibes, everyone seems to get behind the tips & rail them.
Also, imagine someone who has a bad ROI, they may try to correct it via a series of “banzai’s”, to try & get out of it, as they are freerolling, & that would damage the fund.
However, you CAN see who has won or lost what, as each bet, on the spread, includes the name of the tipster. I'm happy to give due thanks to anyone, but I'm not sure it would be wise to actually post the "league table" of tipsters. Bit of a dilemma, really, as there would be positives, too, & maybe prizes for best & worst.
Bit of a double-edged sword actually, as your post highlights how much it matters. Well done you, too!

Deccan made 186-4 off their 20 overs.
Even with their poor bowling attack (excluding Steyn) and atrocious fielding, that is a challenging total.
Pune are now 3/1 but were as high as 4/1.

9 per over? What?
Oh, I see, I never realised it was bish bash bosh cricket, I thought it was proper cricket.
So our "good thing" is not quite so good now, I assume? We had a narrow escape if so, because the price looked huuuuuuuuuuuuuge.

You are like a sort of harbinger of doom today.
Think I need to contemplate my meditation, & hopefully wake up & it will all have been a bad dream. Like that QPR bet, which lost 6-1.
