Think you were meant to back Baines @ 2/1 Tikay, I think Tighty was bemoaning the fact it was 5/4 now rather than urging you to get on.

I was with Tighty at the time, he told me to back it!

Either that or another trademark misread.

My fault then

I need to speak s l o   w   e   rr.....

Or LOUDER..

To paraphrase the great Methuselah Minor...

Not just TightEnd, but Karabiner too?

It's MORE SLOWLY or MORE LOUDLY.

T20WC report

A fantastic performance from the West Indies, who bludgeoned their way to 205 with 14 sixes and thrashed Australia to make the final, where they play Sri Lanka on Sunday

That should be a corking final, too close to call though you have to fancy the West Indies with that batting power. Interestingly the WI are odds against, again. Very interesting.

Thread wins £55 from West Indies at 11/8 today which was that rarity, a hedge situation (give the sixes tournament bet threw the only two likely winners together in the semis)  that was excellent value inits own right

Thread has to account for the Australia sixes bet as a loser, and should now do the same for the Dilshan sixes bet

That £55 covers those losses, so job done

The final then

Our one outstanding bet sees Malinga with 8 wickets and A Mendis with 11 wickets. Wehave £40 on Malinga as top Sri Lanka wicket taker. Unlikely, especially on these wickets that take some spin, but you never know

Who is your money on the final?

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/international/twenty20-world-cup/winner

I'll back the side that wins the toss and bats, please....

If pressed now I don't think West Indies are odds against, its evens each of two for me

Bet Sri Lanka are regretting not letting us get through now!

i think prices look about right

surely its a heavy odds on shot sri lanka will choose a wearing slower pitch that requires the ball to be nurdled for 1's and 2's rather than smashed out the ground?

I think 4/5 is a good price for over 2.5 goals in Newcastle v Man Utd game. We are expected to have both Taylor and Collocini missing on Sunday, Williamson will play and isn't good enough for this level and with Man U having Rooney & RVP available I'd expect goals. Also Man U are having there own defensive problems and we aren't struggling for goals ourselves.

4/5 Bluesq & Coral.

Also think Man U are a good bet at just under evens due to our above defensive problems.

Incase you missed it Smiley

Get some thoughts from the heroes 1st ofc.

Should stoke really be 6-1. Vs a very poor liverpool side?

Market loves liverpool, possibly scouse life pays better than we all expect or the syndicates are in them following positive liverpool stats but not results. They had a really high chance rate and hit the post like a billion times last year.

Liverpool aren´t a very poor side but there´s plenty of 7/1 Stoke about and that seems like a very fair bet.

I have backed overs in the MU game.  I have also bet over MU goals and like them both.  I will be backing Stoke too although think I prefer +1 on handicaps or laying Liverpool to actually backing Stoke but any which way is fine I think.

Morning Mr Tikay. I was glad to see you picked up on my gentle hint yesterday. You really are becoming one of the shrewdies.

Morning Mr Tikay. I was glad to see you picked up on my gentle hint yesterday. You really are becoming one of the shrewdies.

Good morning hector.

The West Indies hedge? Yes I did, & also thanks to some lovely analysis & prompting by MCC, too.

I also saw & agreed with your note yesterday about "waking up to a winner", as we all did yesterday morning, thanks to that grand tip by Mr Channing.

I have a ritual with overnight bets - I don't like to "spoil the surprise", so I open up the NFL scores page first, & slowly look for the result. So childish, but so much fun, & it sets the morning up nicely. If they win.

I don't quite know where I am this morning, my head is spinning. Left home at 6am yesterday, & never got back home until 6am this morning. Had to deal with some work first, then some stuff in Ilkeston, & was supposed to head back to London then for Lunch with Mother, but it all went wrong, & I ended up going to DTD in Nottingham, where they had two deepstacks, a £150 & a £500.

Despite a very fortunate staking bink on Thursday, I chose to be nitty & play the £150, which began at 2pm. Had wonderful fun, nice table company all day, chilled with good friends of long-standing, & ended the day one of 16 survivors from 60 odd runners, with a nice stack, too, so I have to return there tomorrow.  It was midnight when we finished, & I was going to spend a little time with Maria, Thewy & others before heading off on the 3 hour drive south, but there was a spare seat at the £5 £5 DC Table........

Mr Giblin & Doc Makawana flanked me, friends for over 10 years, & the super-aggro Pete Linton two to my right, so it was a tad scary, & the game was playing a bit big for me. I sat with £500 (despite spurning the £500 Tourney earlier, wtf?), doubled up first hand, & never left until 3am. I gave a little profit back due to one badly misplayed hand, but ended up £200 the right side, so a good day was had. Then I drove south, got to bed @ 6am.

To say I feel like I am firing on three cylinders this morning would be an understatement.....

Now I have to try & trace back yesterday's action for the Daily Report, & work through what looks at first sight like 5 or 6 recommends for today.

Fredders will have to bear with me this morning & today, I'm all at 6's & 7's.
