I´d like to recommend Brandon Stokley first TD for Denver @ San Diego. He´s a bit of a go to man for Peyton in the red zone and a safe pair of hands under pressure. He should be around the same price as the other wideouts but he´s much bigger.

Recommend £5 Brandon Stokley at 14/1 for first TD Denver @ San Diego with various.

I would have thought the same off the top of my head, but he appears to only have 1 red zone reception this season, and only 3 of his 15 receptions have been inside the opponents half of the field.

So may be a bit wary of it.

I'm off for a kip before I do more damage

Are dotage & senility contagious?

No but narcolepsy might be, possibly..

I'm assuming you were aware of the points that LeKnave mentioned, so we have that bet.

I'm a little nervous (such as we can be for a fiver) because LeKnave is pretty boned up on NFL too, so I'm a bit confused really, we have expert on expert here, but at 14/1, we can't go too far wrong, can we?

£5 @ 14/1 with Wm Hill, Brandon Stokley, First TD tonight, Denver @ San Diego.

ON

16 Oct 2012 - Denver Broncos @ San Diego Chargers - First Touchdown Scorer

Brandon Stokley @ 14/1

Stake : £5.00

Estimated Returns : £75.00Transaction Reference:O/0457483/0000119

There is a Premier League Team playing at home this weekend

Their last 13 home League games have produced the following results

Pld 13 W2 D 5 L6.

They are 1.33 to win on Betfair currently

In traditional markets, priced at 1/3

Name that team.

(and then tell me how they can be 1.33)

Aaaah you stole my thunder, I was going to put this one up myself. I've been profitably laying Pool at home since I put up Wigan to win there last season. I think they should be a blind bet lay at home for a while yet.
You put up their last 13 home games but all of last seasons home form was W6 L4 which is bad and this season is even worse at W0 L2 albeit with tough opponents this year so far. But the stats are stark. They have won 6 times in their last 23 home league games. It's appalling and yet they continue to be priced as a big team and apparently being backed by the 'smart money'. But I think they are worse this year and still heavily in transition.
To paraphrase War of the Worlds, 'the chances of Reading winning at Pool are a million to one, they said. But still, they come.'
I'd suggest a War of the Worlds (similar to a banzai!) bet laying Pool and also a small bet on Reading to win.

I have laid them a few times since Rafa's last year, but am surprised you think they are worse this year.  I really think they have the right manager now, and though they are in transition, I am inclined towards stopping soon.  Liverpool have eased a bit and are currently 1.36 and the best bookie price 4/11.   I wouldn't want to put the thread off.   If we are going to back Reading, don't take the 9/1, as 10/1 is readily available on betfair, and if greedy you should be able to get 10.5/1 as that price and 11/1 have been laid.

Anybody think West Brom are worth a look at home to a stuttering Man City? West Brom have started the season very well and are 9/2ish on betfair.

William Hill special on NFL.

Willis Mgahee or Ryan Matthews first scorer? Any good, price is 10/3...

Worth a gamble at £30?

Part of my thinking was that he was someone Manning favoured in the red zone at Indy too, small sample size this year of course. So far he has 2 TD receptions, the same as Thomas and Dekker.

Always good to have Le Knave/Horneris input on these, consistently good judges.

I assume newcastles price this weekend will be wrong, let me tell ou why.

The bookies will overprice Sunderland because they havnt lost often this season and underprice Newcastle because of a slowish start.

Our whole core f our team comes from Krul/colocini, both are back fit.

The main thing is that Sunderland baby lost much but they've been fixkong awful long forward. As its a derby there fans will push for them to attack, they won't be comfortable and if we can hold them out Ben arfa and ba can really punish them on the break.

Im pretty sure this is one of the little things that bookmakers won't take into account but last year we murdered west brom in very similar circumstances all of our goals coming from against the run of play.

The Stokley Debate.......

The feedback from both Kuku & LeKnave was much appreciated, & as it turned out, Stokley DID (eventually) get a TD, but our bet was for "First TD".

The game was a bit interesting too, I gather........

Thanks lads.

Coverage of the Man Booker Prize will be from 9.30 tonight on BBC News. The announcement is expected to be just after 9.40.

I've no idea how you can "squeeze" the result. Perhaps pur squeezologists can assist?

Daily Report @ 0825, Tuesday October 16th

We lost £5 yesterday.

Just the one bet, almost a Fun Fiver on First TD. Our man did manage a TD, but not the first one, so perhaps we were a shade unlucky. Kuku had spotted a pricing anomaly it seems, as he noted some historical evidence that a Stokley TD was likely.

There was some chatter yesterday about the Speedway Elite Final. Last night Leg One took place, & Swindon speeded to victory to lead by 7 going into tomorrow’s second & Final leg.  Notwithstanding that, Poole are now odds-on to win outright, so it looks like we missed the market there, but let’s see how the price develops.

Will he?

Tonight sees the Booker Prize 2012 awarded. We have £20 @ 11/4 down to TAL of WHL. Current prices?

So, we have a good price, we just need him to TID now.

In Football, the rather bland World Cup Quallies continue tonight, with England away to Poland, Wales away to Croatia, Republic of Ireland away to Faroe Islands, Belgium entertain Scotland, & Portugal host Northern Ireland.

There are some lop-sides match ups there – Scotland are 10/1 to win, Wales 12/1, & Northern Ireland a stunning 33/1.

England?  Even money to avoid the banana skin.

It was before most of you were even born, but in 1973, Brian Clough described the Polish ‘keeper as a “clown”, & Peter Taylor summed up the Polish team as “donkeys”. Poland won the game, obv.

I watched the whole game in disbelief, as did most of us. A life lesson there, which has served me well – always respect your opponents. Even if they are fish, donkeys, or clowns from Poland.
