it appears henning berg has been sacked

After TWO months?

Jeez, you can't make this stuff up.

Its daft of course, but the logic is changes have to be made, if boards are unhappy, before the January transfer window. New man can bring his signings in, no point appointing him in February...

I'd expect many more departures before mid January.

Yes, I agree, but precisely the same logic applied in November.

Measure twice, cut once......

Daily Report as at 0950, Thursday December 27th

Glory be, a profit yesterday of £140.

Two losers, Leeds & Captain Chris, balanced by the Priority Offer on Long Run, (+£10) flagged up by horsey, & the remarkable HT-FT nap by Chompy of all people (+£170), a bet we would never ordinarily do in a month of Sundays.

Well done lads, & thanks.

Bad weather in the US North and Midwest

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20849242

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20847644

the second article forecasts 18 inches of snow on the East coast in the next 24 hours...

bobby1 betting territory

I have been following closely the prospects for Dallas at Washington

Before the bad weather came the outdoor stadium in Washington was not covered. The field is currently covered in Snow. A Dallas fan might say that it is in Washington's interests, playing an indoor team in a must win match, to slow them down....

Dallas are an indoor team that has not played in bad weather all year

Washington's quarterback RG3 is a dangerous runner but is playing after a recent strained cruciate ligament. In last week's game against the Eagles he stood in the pocket and did not move around (his modus operandi and his threat) at all

Dallas struggle to run because the offensive line is sub par

Add to all this, its winner take all. Winner wins the division and goes to the play offs. The loser is probably out of the playoffs

The points spread is http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/dallas-cowboys-at-washington-redskins/total-points

This hasn't adjusted lower for

- conditions
- Washington quarterback unable to run effectively
- Dallas running game difficulties

I would suggest the right pivot price might be 10 points lower come game time, as it adjusts for the weather

Suggest £55 under 49.5 Stan James 10/11.

Dynaste update.

About as impressive as you could be in the ground.

Mr Pipe starting to sound coy about his final objective. Starting to even convince myself he is worth a pop at the big one.....!!

Having seen the times of yesterday's race where in the Feltham it was considered to be a pedestrian pace, yet in the King George Junior and Champ Court were seen to set a decent pace, I was interested to see Dynaste cruised to a time three seconds quicker than a flat out at the end, KG. Yes, he carried three pounds less, but I know which performance I was most impressed by.

Anyway, in the interests of Fred please forgive me if readers of other sporting forums start to see my name pop up a bit over the next day or so as I go out there germinate the idea of a Dynaste Gold Cup run........no Mickey taking please lads.....

Enjoy the moment, you may have three months of fun speculation yet, & you & Fred are holding a voucher with around 380/1 on it. All good.

Was great to see him do the job so efficiently yesterday.

Presumably, he is more likely to go for the RSA, but you never know.

Where will he run next, any idea?

I really should have included him in today's gallery, too.

Never mind, here he is now.

Stat of the day, to distract from misclicks

Manchester United have conceded 1st goal in 11 of their 19 league games, come back & won 8 of them, & have a 7 point lead at the top
