ATTENTION CHOMPY

OK, here is the CBB deal.

I'm sick of all this CBB bollox polluting a thread for grown-ups, so I RAISE.

Fred will allocate the sum of £100 (One Hundred Pounds) to CBB.

It can be allocated in a single bet, any number of smaller bets, as an outright, or for trading purposes.

Chompy will be given CBB Elder/Guru Status & will nominate the bets, &/OR approve/decline CBB bet suggestions from others. I will place the bets you approve or suggest without argument.

In return......

Fred expects regular Updates, "Luton Scrabble Thread" Stylee. The £100 is conditional upon this clause.

Daily Report as at 0825, Thursday January 3rd

We lost £46.40 yesterday.

One completed bet, one bomber.

Meanwhile.....

QPR won, which is BAD. However, I believe the Relegation bet is nailed on.

Suarez scored TWO. Which is GOOD.

We added to our Prestbury Park portfolio.

We added a League Two "Top 7" bet. (York City).

OK, I'll buy it.

Who or what is Toadfish?

What does he or she do?

There is a Wiki page, but it appears to be, well, a fish that......looks like a toad.

I don't watch the show, but he seems something of a legend.  I think his character is likeable.

He appears to do stuff for charity.   I assume that as he has been around a long time and has permanent employment, he isn't going to appear like your typical contestant clinging on to fame or a desperate wannabe.

My thinking, but chompy is guru on these things and I probably won't watch any of it.

Not sure why he has picked the other.

That picture of Mr Edmonds...is Deal or No Deal really that old? 2006?

How much mileage can you get out of a random number game?

BTW I see Barry Hearn is trying to bring back ping-pong (note, not Table Tennis - I learned today that they are as different as Blackjack and Pontoon) and is organising a big tournament at Ally Pally.

Any whiff-whaffers on Fred?

Claire Richards was in Steps and famously suffered with weight issues, such that after the band had broken up she was the subject of a documentary on eating disorders and coping with the stresses of fame.

I'm struggling after that to offer anything else up. Beside lyrics and dance moves obv.

Thanks Doobs. That makes a lot more sense than any of the random shite that Chompy is likely to Post.

I'm terrible at it but do enjoy the game.

As an aside, for anyone London based, 'Bounce' (bar/ping pong club) is well worth a visit.

Don't fancy Toady or Claire much tbh. Claire was apparently behind the break-up of Steps, or at least her and Haitch were. Boooo!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oq7iQPbiq1Y

Toady is very Australian and seems to be a lot like his character in real life. He may grate.

At this stage Rylan is probably a worthy favourite. He was v.popular with other contestants on The X Factor and seems pretty sharp.

Betting on CBB pre-race is rarely the best idea though tbh. Except in the case of Julian Clary obv.

Her odds are drifting already. Betfair shows her going 5, 6, 7, 8

...and turning this into a tenuous Steps song game was the last thing on my mind.

When "Deal or No Deal" started in the UK, obviously the biggest heap of poo ever seen on TV pre BB & CBB, it was the subject of the busiest thread on blonde at the time. The Thread Starter, & most active contributor, was a famous & still much respected old-skool poker player, John Shipley. Who'd have thunk?

In related random trivia bollox, John Shipley, Camel, myself & others once hooked up for a meal at an eatery called "Mad O'Rourke's Pie Factory" in Tipton, West Midlands. Can't make this stuff up.

Surely breaking up Steps is something the whole world should be thankful for.  She has killed any potential popularity by getting back together mind.

Not to Chompy. He has "Steps" photos in his bedroom.
