I got restricted to a bet of 68 quid with Pinny on a World championship darts match last week tho Red, the one gripe about the way they work is you can have good amounts on the main events but maybe they don't understand that on events like the darts this is the biggest month of the darting year. If you are going to play for tiny amounts most of the year then fair enough but surely someone should understand that the amount of bets and size of them is going to be much bigger during the World Championship month.
It would be like having tiny athletics amounts and then keeping those liability limits the same during the Olympics and then restricting people coz they are betting on the Olympics and asking for more than the system limits.

Our DoI bet is not looking good, we are on Samia Ghadie @ 15/2, now freely available at 16/1 & above.
There is no such thing as bad publicity
............unfortunately for us, probably not true in Samia's case, with other halves being dumped, as her heart is melted by Mr. skating partner.
Thought she skated OK last night.....definite potential as spotted ringside by Phil
Early days...hopefully Corrie fans will vote in their droves.
oh no, I was too busy watching NFL and golfers trying to play in a gale so missed the opening night. It doesn't look like a very good start tho.
Didn't one of the dancers we bet end up in the skate off in the first week one year?
She's supposedly been doing some horizontal dancing with the bloke she skates with and they coincidentally have both split their respective partners since 'working' together on the show.
She claims that she's single, nothing going on, but that may not have done her any favours with the public
haha horizontal dancing! They could have at least done it standing up and worked on thru a few dance moves at the same time. The partner splitting is deffo not going to go in their favour either.
I did mention this a week or so back, but everyone was fussing about some Van Gerbil fella.....

Obviously I understand that bookmakers don't want to lay big bets to shrewdies.
But, just shutting accounts or restricting them to pennies cannot be the best answer.
Do they think the shrewdies will not got their bets n somehow?
Instead of btting in their own name, they use friends accounts to gt their bets on.
Surely the bookies want to know what the shrewdies want to be on?
If I really want a bet, I can get on almost unlimited with all the bookmakers.
Shutting my accounts just mean they miss out on my marginal and mug business, and only lay me when I really think something is completely wrong.

I think you miss the point of their business plan a bit Phil. They didn't restrict you because their limit is the same for everyone and that limit is based on the business that they expect to do on that event because they want to make a book and take two way business. They don't do much darts business so they are not sure they have business to get buy back against your bet. If they find they are able to then they increase the limits. They have pretty much zero interest in betting against you specifically because if they did that they know they would have to either take losses or shut accounts and they don't want to do that because they can make a lot of money pitting sharp guys against each other for £50k a pop and taking 1% in the major betting sports. Incidentally I am pretty sure you can bet them as many times as you like at the new numbers so you could probably get your full bet on although obviously you would get a lower price.

Prepare for bloodied head bandages, all in the cause of Tyke survival....
I'm fully expecting him to turn it down, so given that he's 1/5, 1/4 and 2/5 on the three books at present, makes everyone else value at the moment.
I've just made some small covering bets at big prices on some of the other suspects who I think are in the frame, as they're all value now including Redfearn at 12/1 and Flitcroft at 20/1. If one of them gets the job I make something, if Butcher gets the job I'm surprised and happy as a fan and don't mind the betting losses.
The nut low for me is Blackwell, as I'm refusing on principle to think that they're even considering appointing him. If he gets the job I lose money and potentially send the season ticket back (for anyone wondering why, he was Sheff Utd's manager when Chris Morgan fractured Iain Hume's skull with his elbow a few years ago and denied that there was any wrongdoing).
i see bolton have agreed a deal for davies
appreciate he was out of contract but i cant really see whoever it is keeping that squad up now
He's been poor in recent weeks, possibly due to his head being turned, so it's not the devastating loss that it might have been. Losing Marcus Tudgay to injury a couple of weeks ago was probably worse news.

I have a dilemma Mr T. Ladbrokes have priced up Pujara at 10-1 for India's top series batsman. I have been researching all the Indian cricket sites and the consensus is Pujara will play which makes the 10-1 a huge price. How do you feel about another £10 on him. Of course if he doesn't make the side then we will feel fairly stupid, but then I am used to that. There is universal condemnation of all of India's batsmen apart from Pujara and Rahane but then they don't select the team. I also found out that they refer to Gautam Gambhir by the moniker 2G.

We know that our man is a proper batsman, a Boycott if you like, not necessarily a one-day agricultural hoiker, but as you note, he'll probably be asked to anchor one end, & maybe if he has to open his shoulders & knock it about, he may surprise us. For sure, he will not give his wicket away cheaply.
I think we have two good bets there, with a bizarre price disparity. £20 @ 9/2 with Betfred, & £10 @ 10/1 Ladbrokes. Effectively we have just over 6/1 I suppose.
I reckon we may just get a cracking sweat with them.
We have £10 @ 10/1, Ladbrokes, Pujara Top India Batterer, the India England ODI Series.

Coral just deciding to hand us 1-1.5 points back on NYK.
Suggest £30 @ 5/6 NYK -6

Good spot Tom, thanks.
Amazing how slow Coral are to move their line. Maybe they know better than we do though.
We have a little overnight sweat, £30 @ 5/6, Coral, NYK, -6, over Boston Celtics.
This will be our only completed bet of the day, in fact. Hope it's a winner......

Thoughts on an India series bet, hector(/anyone)?
England have a habit of reversing whatever happened in the test series when on tour. I know there have been a few personnel changes but this is a much stronger India team over 50 covers than the England outfit. A couple down and it could be tough for Gilo (King of Spain) in his first job in charge.
4-0 (allowing for a weather interruption (or a tie?)) is 20-1 on betfair.
Is it a market worth considering? Or is this one always heavily over round?

I don't think it is anything to do with overround, it just looks like someone has put £3 up hoping somebody will take it.
Do we know what happens when a match is abandoned? Is there a reasonable chance they just run it next day? And do we know the minimum overs for a result?
I am pretty suspicious that none of the bookmakers are offering 4-0, so unless shown otherwise I will assume there is a fair chance the £3 is there to catch a mug.
I have given up on googling this.

I can't see £10 being the correct bet on pujura @10/1 if 9/2 is also a bet, there will be a mathematical way of working out but it is probably a maximum. Ladbrokes just laid me £50, so i doubt anything that size would get referral/a price change.

Ajinkya Rahane will almost certainly take Sehwag's place opening the batting and Kohli, Raina and Yuvraj will bat at 3,4,5 so I think he's only going to get a game if India pick an extra batsman (which hasn't been their strategy in recent ODIs). If he does start the 1st game though, 10/1 is massive given his recent domestic form
