In proper cricket stuff, we are on Pujara as Top Series Little Batter Bloke in the Australia v India Test Match thingy.

The first Test has begunned....

Australia were 316/7 at close of play. Clarke 103 NO, Henriques 68, WArner 59.

Not sure if that tells us much, at first glance it suggests the wicket is reasonable, so I think that is a good thing for the commencement of our bet.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-australia-2013/engine/match/598812.html

The wicket resembled a pot hole ridden b road.

Inexplicably India left out Ojha and it turned square, with nasty bounce before lunch

Ashwin took the first six wickets with spin, and Clarke's innings was a thing of beauty

Fortunately for India, Australia has shown no evidence to date of having match winning spinners and have picked three quicks, which is superflous

For the bet, Pujara is technically very solid. I think playing on result pitches suits us as the flat track bullies like Sehwag are not going to find it easy

Ahh. Probably not "reasonable" then.

Anyway, our man is more than reasonable. B Roads & Motorways come alike to him.

McDowell must surely be worth £10 ew in the golf at 34 betfred or betfair fixed odds.  He is 5.5 to win his bracket and the ew portion of the bet is the same bet at 9.25.

Done, with Mr Done.

Thanks.

We have £10 EW (quarter, 1,2,3,4), BetFred, McDowell, Accenture Matchplay.

ON

WGC Accenture Match Play - Outright

In the Accenture, we lost Mr Woods yesterday, but we still have Kaymer, & now McDowell.

I must say, those greens looked fearfully difficult.

Daily Report as @ 1500, Friday February 22nd

Despite 3 bets completing (2 losses & a win), we broke exactly even yesterday, though a smidgeon of financial engineering was required to balance the books.

Mr Woods exited the Accenture (-£25) & Liverpool conceded a pesky goal (-£10) so we were £35 down on those two.

outrageous gave us Hamilton in the Darts, we started badly, cruised to the front, lost the plot, & then somehow, when it was Anderson's for the taking, we did the Lazarus thing & scooped a handy +£34. Considering it was only a £20 bet, I've no idea how it got me on the edge of my seat, but it did. Strange thing this betting lark.

Which left us £1 in arrears......

And then the ever vigilant MereAuditor wrote to me & wondered why I had filled in the Galatasaray Cards bet as £24 Profit, when the bet was £30 @ 5/6. Typo, matho, call it what you will, but I was able to correct it today, which gave us a quid, & the books balanced. Amazed nobody spotted it, folks usually mention these things. Mere does all of the spready filling-in EXCEPT the win/lose bit, which I do.

A shame we lost Woods, but he was in one of his spray it everywhere moods, & never looked like winning.

Kaymer advanced safely though, and has been slashed to 14/1 third favourite, we are on at a juicy 40/1. We are EW, & he needs to win his bracket for us to collect the place bet.

Colsaerts won very comfortably yesterday, but remains 25/1. Not sure how we missed him, the course looks ideal for him. Ditto Poulter.

We have nothing today/tonight, Golf apart, & the overnight Cricket where we want Boundaries, & plenty of them.

Big Rugby League game tonight, the World Club Whatsit, where Leeds are priced oh-so-temptingly @ 2/1.

6 Nations Promo.

I'm always a little wary of Bookies Promos - they don't do them because they are nice people - & this one, typically, encourages us to bet Accas, which of course the Bookies adore.

Anyway, it was from BWin, & said this.....

The Six Nations Championship is at the midway point and our fantastic offer is still going strong.

Remember to make a 3 team combo with odds of 2.50 or above which includes England, Ireland, Scotland or Wales to win their game and if they let you down we will refund your bet up to GBP 25.

Which looks like a bet to nothing.

Pop England, Wales and Ireland in and see if combined exceeds 2.5

you also slightly hedge France by doing so

Like the McDowell bet, his looks like an easier bracket.

Kucher has Garcia next, a tough prospect. If you got a decent price it might be worth laying a bit off on betty.
