The early IPL game is the Royals vs the Challengers. Over 9.5 sixes is evens with Ladbrokes. Both team have bog hitters and Gayle or Watson could hit ten on their own. Really like this bet. Everywhere else is 5-6.

Recommend 50quid over 9.5 sixes. Starts at 11.

Thanks Majorx2.

I'd like some other advioce on that. Not saying it is not a good spot, not at all, but we've burnt our fingers a bit on IPL stuff.

A wise Cricket Elder here said we should generally bet Unders on IPL sixes. A few days later, Chris Gayle battered 11 sixes on his own!

Would I be right in saying (I am not a cricket expert chap) that Chris Gayle is a man of "varying" moods?

He's pretty much always horizontal, unlike his bat.

Some of us have to aftertime. It's a defence mechanism to try and convince ourselves we aren't as stupid as we look, based on the bets we put on here!

It isn't aftertiming if you posted the bet ITT before the event, is it? Just if you pop up and say "I backed Suarez to be booed at the PFA Awards at 2/1 and because it was with BetFred, I got paid double when the got booed a second time" when you hadn't had the confidence to propose the bet beforehand.

no thats fine tal

god knows why i am so sensitive to it really, in the big scheme of things it makes not one jot of difference to me whether somebody had a winning bet or not

I had a £10 double on Horschel for the Nworlins tourney (33-1) and Horseplayer to get sensitive about aftertiming (1-33) the next morning. Oi oi!

Horschel reminded me of Lewandoski, to be honest.

Yuh, very good shout tbf.

I've been trying to find a price for Billy Horschplayer for the US Open but nothing doing?

Liked his ability to find fairways and greens over the weekend. Reminded me a lot of Bolassie at his best. Just a touch concerned about his temperament, which put me in mind of a below-par Glenn Murray.

Will leave it until the Monday after the US Open before I decide whether or not I backed him.

Did bogey really used to mean par?

Apparently this was different either side of the Atlantic, but in one you had to play against a nominal score set by Mr Bogey, whereas the other had a course score (hence par for the course).

Reinforces my 'golf is a ridiculous game that I nevertheless enjoy watching and occasionally punting on' principle.

Fred seems to be in fine form this morning. Be even better if we could buy a winner. BEFORE they win.
