As someone mentioned FM in the thread today I'll derail slightly with a horse racing game mention. Despite never being that into racing I have poured a fair few hours into the various incarnations of this over the years - which includes a breeding system.

Ha. You can get weirdly attached to your horses - I guess similar to how it's easy to get emotionally involved playing FM. Sign of a good sports management sim I suppose.
