In the Australian Open golf, as predicted 2 of the big 3 are clear of the the rest and would have been great each way bets. Unfortunately the exception is Jason Day. He started his charge belatedly last night and is up to joint 10th. He has no hope of 1st, but has every chance of getting the place as he is only 2 off 3rd. Hopefully then we can keep those who crave monthly profits happy.
Am going to spend the day preparing my weekly back Sophie post. What is the max?

Ouch. It matters nothing in the long run, but is still a nice achievement I think

Groan, "

Alluding to the monthly profits, no, it makes no odds in the long run whether an individual month is a winner or loser, but it's good motivational stuff to have.
For the record, if we finish November ahead, I think that'd be SEVEN straight months in profit, not 6. Not that I'm counting of course, oh no Sirree.

One from the leftfield this morning. There is something of a match fixing scandal emerging in Austria involving Grodig and as a result they have released a couple of defenders and a few more may not play. Hard to see how their preparation won't have been affected and a quick look at the form and discussion with a few people that know the league suggest that the 6/5 Austria Vienna was probably not a bad price anyway. Not one to go mad on but 6/5 looks worth a 50 with Hills,
or the Nanny.

....and as an added bonus if it wins we can continue the "gut" theme by saying..."Ja das ist gut"

Non-tikay people, Skybet paying 5 places in the Hennessey today. Summon the spider.

Skybet or Blonde? We all love Skybet but unlike Blonde it is the most painfully unrequited kind of love.

Some of us wear both those hats......makes for an interesting dynamic at times.

CONVERTED TRY - New Zealand 2-28 Australia
Brett Morris gingerly returns to his feet - and is greeted by the sight of 'TRY' on the scoreboard. I'm sure that makes the Australia winger feel much better. As will Johnathan Thurston's superb conversion. Thurston is showboating now as he curls his kick from the outside of the posts inside the right upright.
Morris now one try behind Jarryd Hayne with 27 mins of the RLWC to go, at 14-1 e/w
Come on Brett, one more!

CONVERTED TRY - New Zealand 2-34 Australia (Brett Morris)
And that, ladies and gentleman, is the icing on the cake for Australia. New Zealand attack, only for Sonny Bill Williams' square pass to be intercepted by Aussie centre Jarryd Hayne. Hayne sprints a good 50 metres before somehow offloading to Brett Morris, who is supporting to the left and slides in for his second try. Johnathan Thurston won't miss from in front of the posts, will he? Nope.
BOOM, currently dead-heating
Thanks to Hayne for the offload :-)
