Oisin looks the real deal to me but probably will not get enough rides this season

Any apprentice title odds anywere?

Not sure about O'Sheen tbh. Balding kept the numbers down last year to preserve his claim. Guess he'll ride more this time but he'd need to top a century to have a chance, so would need to ride around 600. Can't see it myself. Still prefer Robert Tart among the apprencites myself.

Anyone use that service that pings you when a horse is entered up? If so, stick Impulsive Moment in please. This can be our official TfT horse to follow 2014.

I've chucked it in on ATR, so will get an e-mail the night before it's due to run.

Countdown = £348.34

£350 on Man U to beat Bayern?  Thet are playing on April 1st which is just perfect.

Was a little tongue in cheek, but no love for this?

It has become fashionable to praise the Germans for having a well run league, with great teams, but I am not at all convinced the records of the respective Countries back this up.  Knocking Man U has also become even more popular than knocking Spurs.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_European_Cup_and_UEFA_Champions_League_finals

Sure Bayern are the better side, and there record this season is fantastic, and Man U have been very inconsistent this year, and looked awful at times.  So Bayern definitely deserve to be favourites away in a Country whose clubs have a better record on the big stage, but 5/1+ Man U just seems to be something we should be taking advantage of?

You should be able to get 6.4 at home on Man U on Betfair (I just did), maybe we can limit our bet to just £50?

Helmet on, hiding behind big wall, thoughts please?

Just backed them some more at 7.0.  That just seems mad to me.

Looks like Van Persie misses the game, which may explain the move tonight.

Thanks Lisa.

Want to make a few suggestions/selections?

I'm not so good with knowing the optimal races for the Offer, but the 3 races from Newbury have 10, 15 & 15 runners respectively, & are sort of 6/1 fav, sorta thing. Probably not suitable?

Lingfield looks similar, though the 3.15 has a jolly @ 5/4, then 8/1 bar.....

http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing-betting/lingfield/15:15/winner

The 2.00 Kelso has 9 runners, but the top three are all 4/1 or thereabouts.

http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing-betting/kelso/14:00/winner

So I'm not sure which races, if any, "work" for us, but if you (or anyone else) think that any do, stick them up & I'll get on later. I'm around for most of the day, so can get on no prob.

the sixes bet floundered on two factors

- Pakistan's insipid batting performance, with two sixes only
- India could then pootle along with no real pressure

these sixes bets require a competitive first innings so that the chasing team has to open their shoulders and go for it

Although there wasn't much in the pitch to prevent big hitting, the ball definitely gripped for the spinners (the Indian spinners bowled 30 dot balls and took 3 wickets including one beauty from mishra) , and this bodes reasonably for our Badree bet (Now into 25-1) as the WI play all their group games in Mirpur.

The other ground, Chittagong, is quicker, more dew, tougher for spinners and this is the Eng/SA/Sri Lanka group

Obviously not great news for the Pakistan outright bet either.

Pakistan's batting (as in the last warm up game) was shit.  I tried to think of a more descriptive word but that pretty much sums it up.

The only positive for the bet is that the bowlers look very hard to score against and so if they do manage to put some runs on the board they will be a tough team to beat.  Defeat against Australia will kill the bet unfortunately

Yet again India's pace bowlers look weak and whilst the batting is strong, it's not as good as previous world cups.   Can't help but think WI shouldn't be (significant) underdogs for Sunday's game - they are 13/10 at the moment, what do you think Tighty?

Now 6/5 best.

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/t20-world-cup

Tighty seemed to agree with you, too.

Yes, no, wait awhile?

Did Fred every get on Athletico Madrid for the Champions League, I know we discussed it before.

I would also be on Man U, you just can't not back them at the price.

We don't know whats going to happen in next 2 games, 2 decent wins and United are going into a game full of confidence.

Also like opposing Hearts again tonight, I think I have made my feelings perfectly clear on them before.  But have swerved from backing against them in recent weeks as the prices seemed to be about spot on for their opponents.  I am also hearing rumpurs of some discontent within the squad due to the protracted takeover.  There are players who could be up shit creek without a paddle if the takeover doesn't go through.

The 8/13 available on Betty seems more than fair to me for Dundee United tonight.

Also if you have a bet with McBookie/VC they are offering £25 back as a free bet if a penalty is scored on certain markets.  I have backed Nadir Ciftci FGS @ 5/1

Well done, Dundee duly got the cake, & Ciftci scored, but not first.

Atletico Madrid for the CL? No, don't think we are on.

Tighty,

We seem to have an open bet for Ottawa Senators to win the Stanley Cup. (£25 @ 33/1).

I dont think that bet is still live, from what I can see.

Nice, slippery each-way number at Lingfield tomorrow (3.50).

Fourteen runners, 7/4, 11/2, 6/1, 16/1 bar with a favourite drawn in 14 of 14 over 1m2f, a trip over which they're soon into the first bend. That draw would have been a killer on the old surface but it's still a handicap even now.

Farraaj won this as the 6/4 favourite last year and has no penalty for that. A few firms are a quarter first three. Suggest £25 each-way with 8eight8 or uni, otherwise 6/1 fifth the odd with spoils.

Best I can get now is 11/2, one fifth odds.

Too short, one assumes?

Unibet are 11/2, qtr odds, but are unlikely to accept the bet from me.

Just a quick update on one of our long term bets: Gareth "Please come back" Bale has scored ten goals so far in the league this season. We have £110 @ 10/11 on him finding the onion bag on fewer than 19.5 occasions. There are ten games left, so he needs ten in ten to trump us. The way he's playing at the moment, that is certainly a sweat.

I am interested in the drift of Barca in El Clasico tomorrow. They're in a bit of a mess but there still isn't an awful lot between the sides. The Catalan side is 12/5 with Hills and widening. Potentially the last Clasico for Puyol, Xavi and Valdez. Where does the money go in these games? Is everyone just going with the form guide or do people just bet on which team they support?

Luke Wright out of the T20WC. Craig Kieswetter brought in. Sky making this look like a huge loss. Not sure how big a loss a guy sitting on the bench in a fluorescent bib is.

Spooky timing.

I also think we should have a small interest at Lingers in the race before.

Sir Robert Cheval 3.15

Looked a big baby back in November when picking up a win, and a second over C&D. It always looked to me to be one to back when a 3 year old.

With Kirby up I think we should have a small £10 ew with BMU @12s

Thanks Adz.

The 12/1 with BMU has gone.

365 go 12/1, but would only accept £2.50ew, Sporting Bet 22/1, but Restricted to £3.88 EW, so I took 11/1 with BMU, for £10 EW. (One fifth, 1,2.3).

£10 EW @ 11/1, Sir Robert Cheval,  BMU.

15:15SIR ROBERT CHEVAL (EW)(Horse Racing Outright - Race)Odds: 11/1 Stake: 20.00Possible Return:  152.00

Ok, thanks, I can't even find the Oddschecker page for the Stanley Cup. Guess it would help if I knew what sport it was.
