If Tiger Woods wins this week it must go down as one of his greatest wins, maybe not shots won by but in terms of coming thru injury and winning a few weeks after looking very rusty. He's been away with his kids since then and practicing links golf for a week or so.

The Top US market has Tiger and Mickelson at the head of it and Mick is talking a good game but hasn't played too well this year tho he has got a little more consistent. It looks like a good market to bet in but the place terms are rubbish at 1/4 the first four. Given we are on Dufner in the outright and as he says he loves the course we might as well take a small win bet at 44 on BF in the top US market ( im guessing this doesn't disqualify us from getting 8 places in the Outright?)

maybe a fiver or tenner at 44?

Hold this pls.  Just going to check the t and Cs

leave it if there is doubt, Tony has a fiver with me at 44.

Put this £5 at 44 down to me Tony if you want it.

cheers

tikay to clarify. a bet for the thread or not?

A little aftertimey, sorry, I never saw this yesterday. I'll take it for myself, off-thread, but not for Fred.

Judging by the silence, it seemed your esteemed panel were as well Tony.......too subtle. Too good.

I'm blown away by the reaction.

Stan James commented on You Tube.....

We're not ones for hyperbole here at StanJames.com, but this presenter must be the most uninformed man in the WORLD!!!

For balance, I watched it live and was a bit bamboozled.  I thought at the time there must have been a joke that I missed, but wasn't entirely sure.  Now after prompting, I know I need to concentrate on that 15 second segment, and it is much easier to see that you made a visual joke.  At the time I couldn't whether it was a joke, because Rory was no longer on my screen.

6 tables of poker wasn't going to make it easy to work out what was going on either.  I am probably unusual in amongst your viewers, but any of them could be a bit distracted with something else at the time, and half the others probably think that is the Nike tick.

PS Poor old Neil Bradley.  Sad

England win the toss and bowl.

What do you think Tighty ?

won't know for an hour or so

I suspect it will play a lot better than it looks but India need to survive the new ball

India at 7/2 plus is tempting but the risk is 60-6 at lunch on day one.

This England team can't be backed at 5-4ish on value grounds.

Worth a score @ 7/2 though?

Up to you, just do it if you agree.

One for Arbboy to tuck into, but having suggested to Bobby1 a week before Robert Karlson had even qualified for The Open, that I really fancied him as first round leader, I could do with the mighty hoolie whipping up. At least he was for an hour or two!

For balance. I also apologise if I put someone off their bet for Furyk to win his 3 Ball....

I was on it personally before suggesting it :-0

Still half the round left and Watson -1 and Clarke even, so not over yet.

EDIT - I was 2 holes behind. 4 clear now.

I know everyone's focused on golf, but I noticed a horse running today 8.10 Doncaster, Billyoakes  33-1. Caught my eye as it had been rec'd by Calum Madell of Theyoungracegoer.com last Saturday at York and it ran a stinker finishing plumb last after a near two month absence from the racetrack. He liked the style of his previous run when winning a maiden at Hamilton.
I found this video of a gallop (8/7/14 http://www.mickchannon.tv/gallops.php ) featuring him and Deeds Not Words who went on to win a Class 2 h'cap at Newmarket at 33-1 three days later.
Probably reading far too much into this and suspicion is that he may prefer some cut in the ground but at 33-1 I had a small win bet.

India must be edging towards a backable price.  3/1 approx and they have seen off the new ball on a tough pitch and are 70/2.   Kohli and Pujara the two men most likely to score big in these conditions still at the crease.

Thoughts?
