Belgian GP this weekend

- top end speed, aero efficiency crucial = Mercedes and Williams

-  Renault and Ferrari-powered cars at a big disadvantage. Shouls also suit Force India/McLaren at decent podium prices too

-  Bottas had 3 podiums in a row in Austria, Britain and Germany before Hungary

- On each occasion he won the race w/o Mercedes. Very quick, great temperament, more reliable than Massa, future world champion etc etc

- The Williams won't be as quick as the Mercedes in the turns of the second sector but in Sector 3 (the long straight down to the final chicane) and particularly the first-sector run from the La Source hairpin, through Eau Rouge and up the Kemmel Straight, it could be the quickest car of all.

- Bottas 5/2 to win the race without Mercedes
(11/8 to podiumfyate)

http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/belgian-grand-prix/w-o-mercedes

- Spa could be extremely tough on engines (top whack power for 70% of the lap) and it's not inconceivable that a power plant or its related energy-recovery system could malfunction, as happened in Canada.

- There's no reason this should happen to Mercedes any more than Williams but in the double podium market, Mercedes is 4/11 and Williams is 10/1. One merc failure gives Williams a real shot at two drivers in the top 3 given the characteristics of Spa and Williams's package. Mercedes have only completed a 1-2 twice in the last five races.

In the next 8 hours, our resident Williams employee/son of Frank will be on to debunk or agree as necessary :-)

Get on, please, to sensible stakes Tighty.

Betfred 7/2 Kool Kompany and 9/4 Tiggy wiggy. Both beat Betdaq (4.1 and 2.94)

Do what you can

We're on kool kompany for about £30. more? views?

tiggywiggy, well recommendations on that race are all over the place on here. i am also mindful of the BE comments this morning, i paraphrase - not interested at 3/1 etc

If we aren't interested in Tiggy Wiggy, can't we just bet Anthem Alexander with Hills offer (currently 11/4 best), and Cursory Glance each way with korals at 3/1 (maybe 20 e/w)?  It seems hard to have a bad each way bet in that race and this is the low variance route and must be value if we think Tiggy Wiggy is short.

I'd take the 3/1 Tiggy Wiggy if anybody is offering FWIW.

coral knocked us back to 50%

Your bet has now been placed
Single

Cursory Glance3/12:30 York - 21/08/2014
£10 Each Way 1/4 1,2,3
Stake £20.00
Estimated Return:£57.50
Total Stake: £20.00
Potential Return: £57.50

the two WH mobile are on

Taghrooda at 1/4
A Alexander at 11/4

£25 Money back as free bet if 2nd

anyone looking for a late night punt could do worse than take the 2.3 (betfair obviously) on querrey on the men's atp tennis tour tonight in his match.  I been told by a very good tennis judge with contacts on the circuit he is well rested and very up for this game tonight and is feeling better than he has for a long time.  he has been reasonably well backed during the day.

Querrey hoses up 2-0.

Cheers arbboy!

SportingBet are current;y biggest on both Sparkle Factor (11/2) and Enraptured (9/1) in the 4.55 at York.  Both dark horses, both 3, both could easily win this.  Both Betfair arbs/  Don't think they are Neil's thing.  But if we can get on at theses prices suggest £15 each way both.  If not give it a miss.

Edit I think Dermot Weld bringing one over from Ireland must be a positive.  I realise she could be just here because they are bringing Starlet over, but still must be worth something.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Impossible to have a bad (for the punter) each-way bet in that race.

Millen: I have spoken to the chairman every day. My case (for the job) becomes stronger if we win on Saturday.
Millen: The fans have been fantastic. The chairman knows what I can do. It's whether he feels it's the right time (for me).
Millen: If you get results the chairman might suddenly decide I'm the right guy who takes this club forward.

I think Parish though is trying everything he can not to appoint Millen, but he may give in with a win on Saturday.

It would be promising if no-one is signed on before that match.

Smiley It is interesting that he has basically said to the players, you win on Saturday and you could get me appointed. It will be interesting to see how that effects performance.

Millen looks a bet to me. Sherwood fodds prices are way out of line with exchanges and there's valoo elsewhere as a result.
