Semi-serious question: do cheerleaders HAVE to have long hair?
I appreciate there are worse requirements in some quarters (as some of the Buffalo Jills will no doubt attest to),
but that is the most striking feature of that photo...well for me anyway...
Specsavers?
Ok ONE person with a lengthy bob. Good spot.

No is the answer but like most fit birds in society they do tend to have long hair in the vast majority of cases.

Good work Rich, thank you - I really missed those Reports, & I'm sure I'm not alone in that.
Absolutely. Some of us appreciate the work that goes into these.
Absolutely this.
Has anyone been slagging them off then?!
Such an idiot

No wonder this place is dying a slow death.
If you have an opinion and its not the same as "The Clique", you're a Troll. Very grown up.
I often wonder if your the same nice bloke I met in Vegas a few years back Graham, because you weren't such an ****hole then.
The internet. Its a wonderful thing.
Woah there big fella!
I called nirvana a troll! His a good met and loves a bit of trolling. Not sure what brought on this response?
Moving on, am glad we got out of the Poshies top six bet when we did. Baldwin is our best defender by a mile - we turned down some fancy offers in the summer - and we're left with Gabby Gabby Zakuani, who's not the player he was. For those that can, Scuy go 13-2 Poshies finishing in the bottom half. That's an insane price.

Brazilian GP this weekend
I am thinking we might get conditions that produce a greater chance of a randomised result
Interlagos: unpredictable weather, tight run-off areas and the high chance of a safety car
Heavy rain is forecast for the weekend
Another factor is the altitude, at just over 800 metres, the atmospheric pressure is 10% lower than at sea level and while this doesn’t sap power with a turbo engine, it does make the Energy Recovery System work harder on the turbo side.
This appeared to be an issue for Mercedes the last time it raced at altitude in Austria, the only time this year that the team failed to secure pole position (Massa did). Mercedes won the race, a 1-2 but were only 8 seconds ahead of 3rd, 17 seconds ahead of 4th..compared to up to a minute ahead by the end of most races this year
We are also on the 17th race of the season. Teams are not racing with new engines, many might be near the end of their lives. Both Mercedes drivers are on their 5th engine, and a sixth means a penalty (cf Vettel, Austin)
Might unreliability at altitude be a factor to randomise further?
Adding to the uncertainty this weekend is the newly resurfaced track. Teams were used to the old tarmac, with its low grip, but now they have to learn about a new surface and, as we saw in Sochi, that can have a very different impact on tyre performance than one expects. (there Pirelli had little data to go on, took the stable tyres and saw everyone pootle round only needing to one stop)
If it rains during Friday practice, as forecast, then teams will have no opportunity to learn how the soft and medium tyres will behave in the event that the race is dry.
The more uncertainty about tyres, the more the risk of excess degradation, unusual pit stop patterns etc
Strategy wise, there is also the factor of a new pit lane entry, which could add up to two seconds to the time it takes to make a stop.
Weather Forecast
Rain showers are a common occurrence in Sao Paolo at this time of year and many Brazilian Grands Prix have experienced sudden showers over the years. The forecast for the weekend is for wet weather all three days, especially Saturday. Temperatures around 20 degrees centigrade and an 80% chance of rain on Sunday.
Safety Car
The chances of a Safety Car are high. The Safety Car has been used in seven of the last 11 races. It is often called into action on the first lap, as it’s a short lap with 24 cars charging into tight corners.
Safety car: Yes is 2/5 in markets, so no great value there
Possibilities
- Assuming rain, higher altitude and new track might all give us a chance of value outside Mercedes
the fun is that such is the dominance that its 18-1 bar Mercedes to be race winner. I think this is unprecedented. Then again you would argue that the Mercedes supremacy is very unusual 17 races into an F1 season too, when performance advantages can be often eroded through a season as teams catch up
http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/brazilian-grand-prix/winner
Ricciardo seems to me to be an option around 20-1, on value grounds.
3 wins this season, 8 podiums and a proper racer, overtook both Williams on track in Austin despite horsepower deficit
It would need something to happen to both Mercedes to scoop but we have rain forecast each day, new track/tyres, altitude/reliability possibly working in favour of an unusual result

Peter will come on and say Mercedes are still a second ahead of the field, unbeatable, 1-2 Mercedes most likely and he's right
this is in prices though, and pretty much has been for 10 races
bad weather, altitude, newly laid track, engine life ? marks are a combination that may shake things up though and of course as a very-contrarian (you'd be skint being a F1 very contrarian in 2010-14) i like the value we get ex-Merc

Suggest £30 leeds with VIKTOR as they have pushed them out a touch for reasons suggested last night and earlier
don't know anything the bookies do not in this game and considering i have often told people the same when they have asked for opinions on outright bets in this league ill leave it to the powers to be whether it should be placed.
Off to harrang Bob Peters into starting Igor at the weekend rather than leaving him on the bench....

I think Palace to win at 11/1 away to Man U is a good price for a bet.
Similar reasons why I thought we would score away to Everton. Very open at the back, and we have a lot of pace that can punish. The thought of Bolasie teeing off on Valencia is an interesting one. I fancy the Zaha vs. Shaw one too to favour the former.
We also have a decent defence on an "on" day, as was seen away to Everton and Arsenal.
Scored 9 in our 5 prem away games this season.
At the odds given I think we should be at most 8/1 and below. Of course they have an attack force that can hurt anyone and they often play well against us, but I still think it's value.
Take it or leave it, I don't really mind, I just wish everyone a nice day really
. Suggest 20 quid with betvictor.
As I was watching Palace v Sunderland I was thinking they might give United a good game. They looked very dangerous going forward. But Jedinak out. Also Zaha can't play against parent club. 2 very big drawbacks.
Forgot about both embarrassingly.
With Zaha, Puncheon replacing means he adds a better goal threat, with less attacking flair, however he is still fast and can still run at wing backs well. So in terms of effectiveness it's sort of a like for like.
As for Jedinak he is a much bigger blow. Our stand out player, aside from when he is getting over jet lag after international duty where he becomes pretty awful. I think MacArthur steps in and we play Ledley alongside him in central midfield. I think Ledley could step up without Jedinak knowing he needs to be the the buffer of the defence and put in a great performance.
Jedinak not playing makes the margin of value smaller, but we could be pleasantly surprised by Ledley who could possibly put in a better shift with his better passing ability and maybe without Jedinak he may have a license to sit back more where he may be more comfortable, whereas playing with Jedinak he always had to push on to support.
Also the general effect MacArthur has on our side is big, very good connecting defence into attack.
Think the bet is still there, but thanks for bringing it up Dazzler.
