Punta del Este ePrix tomorrow!

I have two bet suggestions:

Race Winner: Bruno Senna @ 25/1 with Bet Victor. He has been very quick in every Formula E session where he has not had a problem of some sort. If he has a trouble free weekend, he will be up there. 25/1 is way too high - should be more like 12/1. Not sure how much to suggest, I'll leave that up to you.

Race Winner: Jean Eric-Vergne @ 25/1 with Bet Victor. A bit of an unknown given that it's his first race in the series - but his years in F1 should stand him in good stead. Jean-Eric is a quick driver and 25/1 is too high. Suggest a min bet.

Is the money in e-Racing better than being a reserve driver in F1? Would assume Jev could get a reserve job somewhere.

Have we backed Peter Beardsley yet for the Rangers job?

Shocked and surprised to see a market for the race of champions this weekend!

http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/race-of-champions/winner

Recommend min bets on Wehrlein (33/1) and Palmer (40/1). Both consistently quick drivers who could well spring a surprise, those prices are too high - take advantage!

The drivers pay the team to be a reserve driver in F1 - either directly or indirectly (via sponsorship). A Formula E race seat is more valuable financially - plus it gives you the opportunity to actually drive rather than just doing simulator work.

Morning, Fred.

I am largely otherwise engaged this weekend, but I thought I'd just give you a Strictly assessment.

The training footage was a bit rushed and brief on the magazine show, It Takes Two, this week, which makes it difficult to get much information. Caroline's footwork is sloppy but that's not going to make any difference. She could spend a minute and a half doing the mashed potato before taking a steaming dump on the dancefloor and the judges would coo about her elegance, grace and poise, how she reminded them of a young Darcey Bussell and how it would be a travesty if she weren't in the final. Not bitter or owt.

Mark is the jolly to depart and with good reason. He's the worst dancer left. He's doing a rumba, which won't suit him, and he's doing it barefoot. No one has ever done that before. As gimmicks go, it's probably even worse than Colin Jackson's dummy quickstep:

The problem is, in a rumba, you don't really lift your feet far above the floor. There's a sort of sliding motion to get the fluidity of movement, dragging the trailing leg behind. That's fine in dance shoes, but try doing that in your kitchen with your socks off and you'll soon find difficulty.

The format tonight is everyone does one ballroom and one latin dance and, in the dance off, the contestants will get to do their best dance, so Mark might be saved if he does well in the ballroom dance. More likely, he'll need to get the votes to avoid the bottom two, as I think the final would be best with two boys and two girls who are broadly even (at least in the show's eyes).

Frankie's legs are stupendous in her rumba and she won't have any problems with the Argentine Tango (the music choice is ridiculous - Beethoven's fifth, if you please..!), so I'd expect her to have a strong dance if required. Simon can rely on his foxtrot, so I wouldn't take the 9/4 on him being off. Len has made his point last week: the best dance off dance wins. He will be in the dance off, though, barring something special. He's clearly the least popular with the public.

The one whose training footage concerned me is Jake. His cha cha was lumpy and the Viennese Waltz definitely won't suit him (his head position and footwork aren't the best). He has apparently had a week off filming Eastenders, so I'm slightly twitchy about backing him to go. But our good friends at StickOneOnIt are a standout 10/1, against everyone else's 8/1.

If you want a banzai this weekend, that's what I'd plump for: Jake to be eliminated at 10/1. It's a one or two unit bet at most though - five or ten max. If doobs and Tighty have a view, all the better.

If you are going to oppose Mark, he looks the best place to go.  Is this the last week they get to save Simon?  That would make Simon to go a bad bet in my view.  Bottom 2 seems likely again.

Should add Jake isn't on the tour. I know it shouldn't make a difference...

Mark is 8/11 best price to go. Extracting value from that is hard work. I think he'll go, mind. The public tend to know when someone's time is up.

Happy if Fred decides no bet. If you want one, though, I thought I'd give my one little one for the weekend.

Jolyon, Jonathan Palmers boy, is certainly better than his dad. Surely has the right connections to land a F1 drive in the future.

Shocking, I know!

Don't worry. Next Saturday, I'll be back to preparing fully for a group of amateurs trying to look professional as they waltz around not achieving much. I'm off to White Hart Lane. Baddumtsh.

Family stuff this weekend. I'll be watching tonight, either live or on the iPlayer.

Good luck all.
