Pending the result of the LOL which probably wasn't LOL

A profit of £5 yesterday, and a loss of £73 so far on the month

F1

Profit of £15 on the day and loss of £13 on the weekend on the event

Hulkenberg won his group +£100. Would have won it anyway but helped that the other 3 Ricciardo, Grosjean and Maldonado all retired

Perez second in his group -£75. 9th, behind Kvyat in 6th

Rosberg 2nd -£10

golf

Woods -£10 in the Greenbriar classic. Tiger Woods posted a score of 67 yesterday after posting a 66 in the 1st round of the event. His 2 lowest scores in any round since March 2014 but not enough to win it

ongoing

F1 season bets are in good shape generally

Rosberg now 17 points behind Hamilton

Force India had two cars in the points yesterday, and 8 total making 39 for the season, roughly half way through. we have spreads requiring over 62 and 77

McLaren scored a point heleped by seven retirements, making 5 for the season. we are on under 153

Vettel 3rd yesterday for 15 points Ricciardo none, ettel now 99 points ahead of Rcciardo in the match bet

Kvyat 8 points yesterday now 36-27 behind in the match bet with Rcciardo

cricket

Middlesex were put in under dark skies on a green one at trent bridge. spot the pitch

not a great surprise as notts have been disappointing all season and need results

At 163-7 Middlesex were in trouble then Malan and Harris put on 167, Malan scoring a craeer best 159*, and Middlesex are what could be a good score 312-7 at the close

Yorkshire batted at Edgbaston in a game Warwickshire really need to win to maintain hpes of the title. Warwickshire made inroads but a very good day was ruined by another Jonny Bairstow century as Yorkshire scored 213 and reduced Warwicks to 11-2 by the close

cycling

on a rough second stage on the dutch coast

Sagan was just pipped to the win by griepel.

sagan currently second in the green jersey standings. kwiatowski is 18th in the GC. Froome and Contador dropped Nibali and Quintana to gain an early advantage

economics

as random percentages are in vogue, after the Oxi vote in Greece overnight it is reported as follows

"OXFORD ECONOMICS SAYS GREXIT RISK NOW 85% VS 67% PREVIOUSLY"

The polling error on this greek referendum was bigger than at the UK elections of 1970, 1992 and 2015 put together

this is really good on what happens next

Sagan was immense yesterday. Punctured at something like 12km to go. Bike changes, rides back to the lead group, & sprints for a very close second. Very few have that talent & drive.

It was with Hills in the "to not finish market"  its been settled as a winner.   So fingers crossed it gets through, I snap withdrew lol.

Yeah you're fine, Hills use the formation lap as the start of the race, so the fact he managed to get round a couple corners was all that was needed!

Hilla have reversed result, and also re-settled a bet I had a few days ago were they paid out wrong so my account now has a negative balance, this seems pretty poor to me.

That is pretty poor

Quote
c. The start of any Grand Prix is defined as the signal to start the formation lap. The podium presentation will count as the result and any subsequent enquiries will not affect the settlement of bets.

That was taken off the hills site, so no idea why they wouldn't settle as a winner.  One for IBAS maybe?

I know the unwritten rule here is never apologise, but I think its good to show a little regret or whatever the word is I'm looking for. Its not necessary, but I think it shows that you care and aren't just spraying numbers around because its someone elses money.

Keep em coming exstream, just a bit of variance, as it's clear you know this stuff inside out.

For those who still have an interest on Adz's bet Weird Al Jankovic,

It is quite a good game

Edit Radwanska 7-5 first set and Murray has started...

The last 16 draw as follows (seeding in brackets)

S Williams (1) v V Williams (16)
Azarenka (23) v Bencic (30)
Sharapova (4) v Diyas
Safarova (6) v Vandeweghe

Wozniacki (5) v Muguruza (20)
Bacsinszky (15)  v Niculescu
Keys (21) v Govortsova
Radwanska (13) v Jancowicz (28)

Lucie Safarova is the only 2014 Wimbledon quarterfinalist to reach 4R this year.

If Wozniacki beats Muguruza, she will be up to #3 in the world. Would be her highest ranking since February 2012...

looking at the bottom half, it has completely cut up

kvitova, halep, lisicki all gone

favourite to win it is radwanska followed by wozniacki, bacsinszky and keys

http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/wimbledon/womens/winner

each way is 1/2 1,2

radwanska 13-1
wozniacki 16-1
bacsinszky 20-1
keys 20-1

so we are getting a minimum of 13/2 one of these to win their half before serena or sharapova or whoever await in the final

my understanding is that radwanska has been poor all year, wozniacki has injury issues

who is the value to win this half now?

I think that all bookies are 1/3 1-2 at this stage.

Wozniacki v Muguruza
Muguruza is currently 2.6 on Betfair
https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/#/tennis/market/1.119387597
Fractionally better at 2.55 on Bwin
http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/wimbledon/womens/caroline-wozniacki-v-garbine-muguruza/winner

I make this much closer.

Wozniacki has had 3 easy matches. Sadly Giorgi was far more miss than hit in their match.
Muguruza has been impressive including a gruelling match against Kerber.
Muguruza has a 2-1 career record against Wozniacki but I don't think that matters much other than to show that she is capable of battling her way through against her.
Muguruza has never really excelled on grass winning only 1 match in her previous two appearances at Wimbledon but appears to be getting to grips with it.

Effectively Wozniacki has had an extra week to regain fitness so I may be barking up the wrong tree but I've backed Muguruza.

Radwanska is playing better than earlier in the year. She had a bad patch when she had Martina Navratilova on her team; it just didn't work out, for whatever reason.
I think that she is rightly favourite. She has a 5-2 record against her next opponent (Jankovic) with the only two losses being on clay. She also has a 3-0 record against her likely next opponent (Madison Keys) although Keys was only 18 the last time they met and has made big strides since.

Essentially, I'm not confident about much at this stage but I though that I'd still share. Smiley
I've backed more than half the field so I'm hoping to get a winner somehow.

Quarter-finals:

Serena Williams v Victoria Azarenka
Maria Sharapova v Coco Vandeweghe
Garbine Muguruza v Timea Bacsinszky
Madison Keys v Agnieska Radwanska

Could be some good matches.
