What do people think about Bangladesh at 20/1 to reach the T20 world cup final?
http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/t20-world-cup/twenty20-world-cup/to-reach-final
They have just beaten Sri Lanka and Pakistan and the good thing about being in the group with India (who they lost against in the Asia Cup) is that they avoid them until the final should they both go through the group.
Yes Bangladesh to have to play the pre-qualifying group but are 3/10 to win that. Should they come through that they will have had three extra matches to get settled into the tournament in a format that international teams play very little of and you'd already think they would be more adept to the conditions than some of the players in other squads who haven't had much experience on the Indian subcontinent.
It is a short competition so the variance is on our side, they would likely need to win three games in the group and then the semi. Clearly there are more talented sides in the tournament but I think I like the price.
What do other people think?

I think its a horrible group to get out of though
India you assume take one of the two places. Aus/Pak/NZ/Bang(probably) and only one to qualify.
by far the tougher group and whilst i would regard Bangladesh as a dangerous side in the tournament the price reflects thats its a crap shoot to qualify. They are going to have to beat probably three of the top 8 sides to qualify and thats why the price is where it is

Loss £115

Outstanding Bets £3631.22

Winner
Wimbledon dog £50
I watched RVB v Smith. RVB looked disinterested to me, though perhaps playing in a dark shed does that to you. Didn't perform well at all. hit 1 x 180 in 12 legs, lost that one 4-1 and the match 7-5 -£150
-£15 Salford were 30-12 up against Warrington just after half time. Lost 31-30 at the death. Joy was unconfined.

Not to dig over old ground but...
All the prices are now shorter, this surely tells us we should be auto betting Mattys dog stuff as this seems to happen every week
Appreciate you were busy earlier just talking in general

i do bet whatever i can of it. if i remember. my fault today, hands up.
six dogs is a bit daunting though, takes time and admin
would love a couple of selections where we know there is a really strong view irrespective of taking early prices where we should expect them to shorten in thin markets once posted? (i think)

I take the point but it is not always that easy to narrow down from that many to two or three.

yes i take that point but i need educating then
we'd laugh if someone put up six horses across the card on a stadard meeting.
not suggesting we'd laugh at matty at all we can't have an edge in every race can we?
i'd like best ideas, not volume of ideas
happy to be persuaded otherwise

Dundee really shouldn't be 5/1 at Rangers on Saturday in the Scottish Cup. Unbeaten in 8 they have players who will trouble Rangers at the back 3 of whom, Harkins, Hemmings and Stewart, were rested tonight at Celtic Park.
Rangers have played 2 top flight teams at home this season losing 3-0 to St Johnstone and drawing 0-0 with Kilmarnock. I can't have Dundee any bigger than 3/1.
Recommend £20 at 5/1 with Bald Fred if account is still good.
also available at Boyles and 9/2 generally.

Hate quoting my own post but 4/1 left in a couple of spots.

This tells us that the opening book is 105, the closing book is 120/125 and the thread is very popular. Greyhound track SPs are notoriously terrible.

Lol bet what you like, I'll just put them up for those who care to read them - on the greyhound thread. I take bits and pieces off this thread so like to add rather than lurk. I tell you my equivalent stakes on the dogs I literally bet them all myself too(a bit bigger).
Appreciate the point about 120/125 returning SP however I do generally put the betfair sp up when I mention how the bet goes on. I'll be shocked if there are many over betfair SP over time.

Everton are 4/5 this weekend
at home to West Ham who are a touch under 4/1
west ham played a day later than everton this week.
all the form lines are known etc etc
Is West Ham an example of pricing inefficiency at that price?
thanks
I'm on this having seen it earlier because the 1.7ish for Eveton seemed to stand out like a sore thumb for being too short. I look at historic prices and a few weeks back Everton were the same price against Swansea at home. The price made sense then because Swansea were 3rd bottom at the time!
